dynamic Q and ideas to improve the game maybe
dynamic Q. many people have a problem with it while others enjoy it. many people want solo Q back and riot doesn't want it back since it would kill dynamic Q. what if dynamic Q was just that, and didn't have solo Q players in it?
now i know what you will start off and say. then groups of 4 can't play and that wait times increase because of the lack of players in it. well, my idea is to just change it so that only groups of 2 or 3 can go into dynamic Q.
how would thing change things? well, Q times to get into game just for dynamic Q would increase, that is true. solo Q players would be happy with this since solo Q would be back. now for an idea so that dynamic Q doesn't die from the lack of players since most of them would go back to solo Q? do we need any ideas if most people would actually enjoy going back to solo Q? it's a bit of a joke, but it also makes sense a bit if that's what most of the players actually want.
main problems with dynamic Q :
- it doesn't show how well you can solo carry yourself. people can say you were boosted (even with the badges, they don't fix the problem, they mostly cover it up so to speak) or lucky with your premade teams that were given to you, which can be true partly.
- basically feeling accomplished and being able to show that to other players isn't there like it use to be, or not in the same way.

many solo Q players don't want to be matched with premades. i've heard stories of premades that don't talk at all in chat since they have another way that doesn't include the solo Q player. i've also heard someone lost a game that they were winning since the premade just gave up, and since they had 4 people, they could, even though they were winning the game. -lack of fair teammates, since it's also not too great of a feeling when you do badly and just get carried by a 4 man grouped. doesn't feel earned. also feels stolen when other team has that and can work better together because of practice and communication.

while this is the new champ select, not dynamic Q, i'm going to still add it here: long wait times and auto fill. people in bronze and silver can wait up to 10 minutes just to find a game right now. before, it was maybe 30 seconds. in high diamond and up, you wait longer and can get auto fill. it doesn't really feel fair since you wait a long time to get a weaker role that you don't really play, or your teammates do. even without auto fill, 10 minutes starts to feel like a long time. when people dodge also, gets to become a lot longer. -long waits can get annoying, and even more so when people dodge games. also, being able to pick your preferred roles and not getting either of them feels like you get cheated a bit. (this hasn't happened to me, but i'm not just talking about me in this post, this is for all the players and ideas to improve the game).
solutions:
a. bring solo Q back and limit dynamic Q to groups of 2 or 3 players.
- problem: wait times for both Q's would be high, since less players would be in both of them. i don't know how many people are willing for this, but many wouldn't want longer wait times.
possible solution to problem: need more support players (support being the least commonly wanted role). even with this change, the wait times would still be a bit long since in the higher ranks, finding 2 duos and 2 trios (1 for each side) for each game could take a while, depending on how many people would play dynamic Q with solo q around. another possible solution: make a system that helps people find other people to group with that are close in rank so they can play dynamic Q.
b. make it so badges mean much more. being able to see people's badges in champ select, in loading screen, and maybe even in game (not saying we go that far) would make people want to go solo more often.
- main problem with this is that dynamic is made so people can play with 2/3/4 or even 5 people and the badges weren't made for people to feel ashamed of their rank, or to shame others. it also wouldn't bring a true indicator of your solo Q skill, would still show your solo Q and dynamic Q, since the system isn't one or the other, it's both, unless you play with or vs 5 man teams, then this system is 3 all in one, which doesn't show you any of them accurately.
solution: make it so people can actually look up how many times they were in a group of 2/3/4/5 or solo, how many of those they had on their team and on other team. this information would only be seen by the player and they can share or hide it if they want. if they were solo 100% of the time, or 80% of the time, would be a big difference.
a. same as solution to 1. a. there isn't really another solution i can think of for this since with dynamic Q, you will always have a chance to be matched with premades.
a. make more people support/fill somehow. a way to do this could be giving people who play their off roles bonus lp since they had a harder time winning than if they were playing a role they knew better. there are ways to check which roles they prefer and win more commonly with. this changed should already happen really, even if the lp gain is just 1 or 2.
b. make more people people play in certain times. same idea as ranked 5's. -problem: this isn't fair to too many people. some people can only play at certain times for many only one or two games.
TL;DR: now to sum it up, making it so dynamic Q was groups of 2 or 3 only and bringing back solo Q would increase the already long wait times, but fix the other problems. the other solutions might work, or they might not. these are just ideas that i thought of and i thought i would share. please share or comment on any problems or ideas with these.
