an idea on how to improve the support role

support needs a leg up so that its the least favored role. my suggestions

  1. show who made the most ward drops of the match in the end game lobby
  2. find a way to reward successful block with moves and body blocks (there have been many times i help get kills without ever hitting the target)
  3. reward players for successful tower and monster aggro relic shield should work on some jg monsters.
  4. team fight MVP see suggestion 2 in part. i.e. good ult timing initiations and well timed heals should be recognized.

i have more but a game is about to start. any other ideas are welcomed Braum

give more lp to supports then the rest of the team in a win and take less away in a loss.

The main reason ppl don't play supp is because they don't get to kill stuff. Yes, it's that simple. By nature, supp doesn't often kill things, so it will forever be least fave, no matter how many little cookies Riot might come up with.

Some of these can't be measured properly. How would you determine if a body block was good? Would they have dodged it anyways if you weren't there? Same with with monster aggro and initiations. Do you count how many people were CC'd? That would mean someone who locked down two key targets would get more credit than someone who locked down three tanks. How do you even know it was an engage and not just CC'ing people in the middle of a fight?

It's a nice idea and all, I just feel like it wouldn't be very practical.

Yes please, this something that i love in dota2 as you can body block a lot depending on the size of your champion

In league only minions can body block due to their number, i never saw a champion blocking an other maybe riot coded it so champions don't block each other

  1. could be easily implemented. Counting "Control Wards Bought", "Wards Placed", and "Wards Destroyed" as stats shouldn't be difficult to implement.

  2. could be implemented by adding "taking damage from X champion that was killed in the last Y seconds" as a condition for assists.

  3. would be broken as hell if Relic Shield worked on any non-minions at all. The game also can't determine "successful tower and monster aggro" other than "nobody died to Baron".

  4. is impossible for the game to recognize

the board might look somthing like

1/3/16 stuns 6 block 5 heals 2.5

                        ^^braum relic shield

First of all would be not forcing players who hate the role to play the role. I would prefer to wait longer in queue than play a role that I don't want for 30 min~1 hour

i am happy to just get the conversation started.

although i don't think relic shield on krugs or raptures is the the worst idea. and lets say Jhin pops his curtain call but Braum blocks every shot with his E, or you use a item active like item 3222 save a teammate ? your telling the program couldn't calculate that stat? riot is full of supper smart people that could work that stat. think about one of the best warden sup champs braum whom i love to use time to time i think it be nice if the game stated how many stuns i started with my passive. or TahmKench how many times he saves an ally near a low percentage of health might be kinda interesting.
