So, it's confirmed that URF is coming out in a couple days. So allow me to ask this. Who at Riot Games keeps deciding to make it all random. Seriously, almost no-one likes the AR part, and almost everyone wants to choose their characters. Please Riot. We have ten bans now, so normal urf would probably be more balanced than all random. Riot, listen to the people.

Edit: btw, let me know whether or not you like all random URF or not, because the poll function wouldn't work.

Update: Riot, i don't even care about randomness or any bullshit anymore, at least give us the goddamn gamemode

All Random is awful. If they just left URF in the game permanently I would personally play much much more and I know a lot of people that would. If the option was always there then people wouldn't feel like they needed to play it as much as they can while it's out to make the most of it. People burn themselves out on it because it's rarely out, I know I do. If it were out all the time I would only play that and not constantly, just as much as I play norms now, because I wouldn't be thrashing myself on it. That's a bit off topic now but I think it's similar. I don't the the AR part has that big of an effect on the player base compared to non-AR, they should just do what everyone is asking for, or maybe have both? Easy fix.

So does anyone know how long ARURF will last from June 27?

Edit: I just read that ARURF will be going on from June 27 at 8 AM PT - July 10 at 11:59 PM PT. I just thought if anyone had the same question I would answer it.

As Tirthidas said, the question for riot is this:

"Do we want to satisfy the playerbase but then suffer a massive drop in players" OR "Do we prefer to keep our large playerbase and thrive but have our playerbase be unhappy"

So while yes you might say "Oh choose the first option obviously because bla bla we'll leave anyways bla bla they can afford it", its like imagine it from a marketing point of view: just to make some people happy you would sacrifice your profits? Its like comparing it to a charity donator and a homeless person. It's one thing to give the homeless person some money, or food, and a whole different thing to give him so much that he is real happy, but then you suffer from it. Would you REALLY give that much to a homeless person if you would suffer from it? Probably not. Same thing for riot. There's just no point, it's like self-harm. At least they give us SOME form of urf, while of course i would like to have regular urf I'm at least grateful they are bringing it back instead of doing what the most profitable thing would be: removing URF altogether.

I like the Random of ARURF. Anything better than Zed/Shaco/Wukong in every...single...game.

I personally like ARURF if it wasnt urf you would hqve people playing stupidly broken champs all the time where in ar u can just have a game where no 1 is really “OP”

Riot should actually allows us to BAN in ARURF.. It's actually boring to lose because the enemy team has FioraFiora , GarenGaren , JaxJax or any other dumb champs in that mode.. I think ARURF is better than URF so we can see others champs less played, but when u're just unlucky on your picks, you can't do anything...

ARURF is fine as long as it is pure random and not a "best last edition" random. They try to find a golden mean but it does not exist.

The real problem with AR is that ine team might have op champions on urf like zed, xayah, garen while the other team has champions like soraka, ashe and twisted fate. Who is the second teasm supossed to win vs xayah , garen , and zed?? They are doomed . Those people end up going afk and who can blame them for doing so? While other players get more op champs more often than you do is really annoying.

I believe its because Riot notices a massive drop in games being played after normal URF is done. In fact the first time they did Urf they had a massive amount of people just straight up quit the game after it ended. Cant really keep doing it if league is too survive.

I have no clue why riot is keep balancing fun game-modes. The very first URF was the best of all no balancing no problem there were very broken champions like sona or teemo but who cares its for fun, it had banning phase so those champs always got banned so the balance was made by the players. I think riot should not balance these type of game modes its just ruins the game experience and the fun part of it.

The main problem with urf is, people want to play zed hecarim etc, but they get perma banned. this is fine however. those champs make the game completely anti fun for everyone on the other team. if it meant i couldnt play hecarim or zed, i would still take regular urf back so i can play someone familiar, someone i WANT to play.
