This game feels difficult as hell to get back into. What do?
So, hear me out. ITS A LIL LONG. (there's a TL;DR bc i don't blame you)
I haven't played in near two years, and even before, I wasn't too clear on what i was doing most of the time.
Recently I rejoined because a good friend of mine started playing and I heard Bard got a buff (idk when), and I like doing silly builds or plays with champions and going against the norm/meta to see if it'd work. Because I genuinely enjoy exploring what I can do with champions and different builds. likeADCBard
But I've effectively lost 7 matches in a row and won 1 three days ago. (Not including ARAM nor bot matches) And I'm STILL meeting the toxic-as-hell community being absolutely atrocious tryhards and egotripping left and right.
Like, I just want to learn how to fucking play the game again without people going "LOL GGEZ" or "WOW LERN 2 PLAY", or any number of other people trying to destroy my experience and harrass me just...for trying to have fun. yes. congrats._ im trying to learn how to play again u mucked-up soggy waffle._ Recent example was my last Veigar game where I had an Archangel's Staff and a Luden's Echo and I get my team + enemy team going "LOL VEIG SUKX OBVS HE HASNT PLAYED SINCE S2 WHAT A DUMBAZZ" And I get that the community is always gonna be toxic as hell (unfortunately). It's gonna happen. My complaint is that League's is just tiresome and seemingly beyond unhelpful.
I don't get how most champs are played anymore (since I was either never too familiar, or they got reworked, new champs, etc), I don't get 99% of the items (same reasons), and I don't even know Masteries, man.
TL;DR : game feels impossible to get back into after ~2 yr hiatus due to community+queue system How the hell am I expected to learn in this game or get back into it at all? Where am I suppose to start anymore? Do you guys have any baseline recommendations so I can get my footing again, or should I really just call it quits?
