Games are too long and one-sided (Opinions and Responses Appreciated)

Now, this may just be me, but it seems like with the new preseason and all, games are just less... idk... fair. In all of the games I've played this season (quite a few), they are basically determined by about 13 minutes. Fed champions stay and increasingly get fed each game, and the idea of a 40 minute game or a "comeback" just seems much less reasonable. It may be all the new ad items (which are crazy good) lending to ad champs (who can push harder) being able to so more damage, or the new experience system which makes snowballing and leveling so much faster. This season has made the game very different, and I sort of miss that stressful grind to 45 minutes when everyone has 3-4 items, rather than a 15 minute game where 12-2 Vayne is almost done building. Idk... that's just my little rant. I would love to see what other people thanks. Enjoy your weekend.

The largest issue I've seen is xp. Levels are getting out of hand more so than I've ever seen. A guy can be up 4 kills, and be 4 levels ahead of anyone else in the game. 4 levels is a huge amount of gold in stats, and pretty much makes the game impossible to win.

Person doesn't even have to die, simply being forced away temporarily easily results in a level disadvantage.

or stay the lane much longer (and destroy the turret earlier)... it was really carry to see difference by 2 or 3 levels...

Long games arent a problem. Snowballing, one sidedness and taking turrets is a problem. Who ever has the lead usually wins hands down.

Yea that's actually a better statement to say then games are too short

I also feel games are decided way too early is the core problem whether it's short or long isn't really the problem it's just that the playerbase couldn't word it better

Games are just extremely unforgiving if you make a mistake leading it to be unfun for the loser and even the winner(I'm starting to take more breaks between games cause I feel I destroyed the enemy too easily when i do get a chance to win)

This is why I mainly dont bother with normals or ranked til they fix it. I miss the games where whoever did better plays were the winners, not whoever got first blood and won lane is the winner.

I mean for crying out loud, they gave the winning side stronger minions just so they rub it in your face even harder that you lost before the game ends. I can safely say that if this becomes the meta and isn't changed, I will gladly either stay in ARAM or quit league this entire season.

That is hows things are often. if it is a normal game chalk it up. If it is a ranked game below gold... he is a must ban to me. I think Mundo on his own is broken

Yeah no one likes the new game paces, but riot doesn't exactly back out once they've made a change for some reason so we're probably stuck with it.

yup. I have not made a crazy come back. before the 5.22. I made so many comebacks. from pretty much enemies attacking my nexus. but since the patch I don't even comeback from enemies destroying my inner turrets. actually if they just get 1 tower they start snowballing

I've been having a blast. The games are never more exciting then now. I usually come back lategame.

I don't like long games where they aren't needed. If have a late game champ but can't make it to late game... the meta has left you behind this season. I think this is a meta that doesn't allow for a lot of mistakes. I like 20 to 30 minute games.

simply dont die... play carefully... thats how it is now...

this patch is about snowball now... not funny game... ;\

brusier/tank wont carry you... poker/pusher would carry... jungler wont carry you if jungler didnt their role ( gank/pits/objective) mage might not... bots might will....

The matchmaking is a huge issue, too. There's a huge discrepancy in skill level between players in the same league. Some players get forced into roles they aren't good at.

Hopefully, the new matchmaking system coming out will fix this.
