Lol @ West Coast

This server switch is pretty funny to me. All these west coast players complaining about an increase in ping. While the Midwest and East coast have been playing with that same ping if not higher for 6 years. I'm sorry you lost your advantage but think of it as taking turns. It's the west coast turn now to have the higher ping. It's only fair, right? Plus I'm pretty sure this improved the ping for the majority of users.

Thank you riot for this new server, this is the greatest update you ever done in my opinion.

The server move helped the East Coast, which is great, I'm happy for you guys, truly, no kappa.

But, it's pretty much screwed over some of the West Coast (not the ones complaining about ping < 100), Alaska, Hawaii, the outlying Pacifics, and most of Asia who play on NA because CN, TW, VN, PH, SG are IP locked, KR is ID restricted, and OCE is shit unless you're in NZ or AU because of packet loss.

Who are the minority in this case I guess, so no one really cares, so you know, thanks. All the spiteful comments about ping is definitely what the community needs when alot of people are quitting because we're not valuable enough for Riot to bother with alternative solutions.

Inb4 "y u no play on azn server n00bl0rd"

Edit - I play from SEA with a stable ping of 300 and have been doing so for a year and I've done well considering, all I wanted was stable ping, not a special server in Asia, not better ping, just stable ping and the move took that away from me so yes, I'm bitter, fuck me.

Regardless of the situation, i wouldn't wish that ping on anything. Just because we went this long on the east coast with 100+ ping doesn't mean that it is suddenly okay for the west coast to experience it

I'm in Alabama and I have 300 ping with AT&T. Thank you Riot for the great server change. I'm glad I'll only have to wait years before it's fixed. I played with 130 ping for years now this upgrade to 300 is amazing.

300 Ping is your internet.

No it's actually not and Riot already stated that. The more you know...

Please show me where Riot says Alabama users will get 300 ping.

"Note: Some of the more high-profile ISP names are missing from that list. We’re currently installing our connections with Cox, AT&T, and Verizon, and expect to have peering fully up and running with all three of them within a few weeks. If you’re playing League on one of these ISPs, your connection post-Chicago move may not be on the most efficiently-routed path until that work completes. We’ll keep this discussion updated as these ISPs come online."

Rekt?

Uh this doesn't prove anything. In fact it just mentions if you have one of those 3 ISPs you're gonna have problems. So yes it's your internet conflicting with the servers.

  1. It proves that it's out of my control which was my original point.

  2. It proves you don't know much on the topic you are talking about which was included in my original point as well.

  3. Rekt?

Almost every west coast player wasn't aware of your east coast lag. Sorry it was happening but it was out of our control. The fact that you say that we deserve to have this is absurd. Riot was the cause of this and if they wanted to fix things they could of created 2 servers so NOONE in North America had to be at a disadvantage. I've been playing off and on since the beta and it's been my favorite way to pass time the passed 3 years of my life. With that being said I and everyone I know in Oregon will never play this game again until RIOT gets their shit together. Congrats East coasters League has retired from the whole west coast. California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Alaska, and parts of Canada will never have the same game play until the issue has been fixed. Have a fantastic day you fucktards in Chicago.

I think you forgot the "r" in the middle of "West."

So because some West coast players are complaining about it you decide to gloat over everyone else's misfortune for an issue that was always outside their control. You might not want to gloat for long because Riot may just come along and enforce a overall group ping so everyone gets the same treatment. Now that would be nice so if west coasters get 100 then so do East coasters and those in the midwest so everyone would be on an even playing field.

But then you'd probably be one of those that'd go right back to complaining that you're getting treated unfairly due to circumstances outside your control which would be ironic since that's the case for West coasters and others who played on NA as stated above.
