Why remove 3v3?

Why bother removing 3v3's from the play base who enjoy it? It is not like riot spends time updating items, or balancing the mode whatsoever, so why take it away from those of us who primarily play it over 5's? from start to finish this season has shown me that riot is not in touch with their community, at all. 1st they make positional ranked, then they butcher the whole matchmaking and ranked system from people abusing their horrible idea of positional ranked, now they remove Twisted treeline.

The only reason I still play league of legends, is 3v3. Since the majority of my friends I used to play with back in the days have stopped playing league, We're only a few close friends left. We enjoy TT a lot. It's the only game mode we're not experience trouble to get a full premade team. Being just 3 people makes the teamplay so much more intense and fun. It's a shame it's being removed. So I think it's time to move on from league. It's been a good couple of years. I'm gonna miss it.

Only reason i played League of legends dont get me wrong 5v5 is fun but i prefer 3v3 n i play it a lot i hardly see bots riot your garbage for this hope you lose a lot of players cus of this

I played this game for the past 10 years and i had played over 10k games on this map.. and that's what riots give me on the end... well, they didn’t even bother to ask the players if they want to keep this mode in the game... sad... seems that this session will be last for me...

I really enjoyed 3v3s because it relied more on my skill rather than my random teammates skills. I hope Riot brings back smaller team games because often times I enjoy them way more than 5v5s.

I also miss so much Twisted Treeline. I really loved the old one, than they changed it and I accepted the change. Now they removed it completly. So sad. We can only hope one day it will return. Otherwise many players who played TT stop playing LoL.

You seem to think keeping server space up for TT is free. It is not. It's an old relic that continually eats money. So they weighed the cost and risk of revamping it to the possible gains and came to their conclusion. Tbh I think the only reason it made it this far is to keep the majority of bots out of other queues

3v3 is just as balanced as 5v5. either you play meta or youre at a severe disadvantage, the only difference is that the meta is different.

The only reason its unpopular, is because there is some stigma that TT rank "doesnt matter". Maybe it should matter. People complain about bots in TT, but ive played it into Diamond and saw maybe two games with a bot. Definitely one, maybe two, idr.

IF they do delete TT though, i hope they find ways to recycle the monsters on the map in TFT or SR.

In 3 years from now they will just probably remove summoners rift aswell. Their reason: "We dont want people to play our game, it was never our intention to provide a fun game for everyone to enjoy, so for that, you can no longer play league of legends, thank you for understanding". TahmKench

I for one have never touched TFT and never will it's not league its a fucking joke of a game mode. So rather than growing the game modes like making the random game mode on weekends permanent which actually don't even rotate anymore cause youre too busy deleting other shit. Started out with 5v5 3v3 and dominion now its either aram or sr which i have a leaver/feeder 2/5 games. Game is a privilege not a right or some dumb shit you'd say because youre responses are nothing other than a couple generated statements repeated and don't actually help. FTG

The simple answer: Because riot hates the idea of anyone having fun in any way other than the way they want them to have fun.

The slightly less simple answer: Riot saw something it's biggest rival (DOTA 2) was doing, decided to copy it, it took off, so they cut something else to focus on it.

I logged into the client, as per usual. To my disgust and horror, the Twisted Treeline 3v3 gamemode had been removed. I can imagine the decision was prompted because the gamemode was overrun by third-party bot accounts. But you fuckers already knew that, didn't you? And I don't mean the particular person reading this, but the conceited assholes who profit most heavily from this game. If something doesn't work, then fix it. Don't just completely shut something down because "it's a waste of resources" or "takes too much upkeep." I will do everything in my power to turn people away from your broken game if nothing is done on your end. I will rally the community of people who see what I see: the corruption of your awful corporation, and your company's complete disregard and disconnection from it's users and fanbase. We will be heard. The ever widening divide between the ultra-rich and the average worker is enormous, but we will find a way to cross it to bring you crooked shitheads down. Ban me.

Well this is fortunate. havent played in awhile and hopped on to start up a 3s match only to find this sad state of affairs. Really bums me out that they remove these game modes even from the custom game screen i really loved playing hide n seek on the dominion mapand would like to be able to still play 3s with friends i cant play solo duo with (lets be honest blind pick and draft is a fucking joke). probs wont play this game much more tbh

I was wondering why it was not there anymore....

Came back recently, I was mainly playing 3v3 ranked I really liked it...

I know there was some bots in normal 3s, prolly not enough people playing ? But 3v3 ranked was a lot of fun...

Not sure I'll keep playing if there is no intention of bringing it back... loved to do 3s alone, and also with friends.. some epic games... 5v5 is fun also, but games are longer, and it's totally different.. 3v3 is more about pvp and straigth action, 5v5 involves a lot more map control / farming / map awareness is different too...

Oh man that is sad....................

To get the few players like me, that don't care for SR/ARAM or TFT, to quit the game. Yet they refuse to replace it with a fast mode where you can pick whoever you want, which was the main appeal of modes like 3v3 and Dominion/Ascension.

I don't understand most players and how they actually prefer games being decided at champ select. We actually had game modes that offered plenty of strategy and much bigger viable champion pools than SR/ARAM, yet people refused to play them (though partly due to Riot's negligence) Now they're gone and we have nothing.

I wish any of this mattered but... Riot doesn't listen. Removing 3's was ridiculously stupid. For the first time in over a year I stopped logging on for almost 2 weeks time before I decided to log back in, and I just feel dread now... I don't want to spend 1-3 hours to get a daily win that all depends on a coin flip. With 3's I was able to get my daily win, and then play with no pressure that I was pushing that daily win timer reset forward HOURS by losing a game that I had no way of winning if we got unlucky. Now my options are what? TFT where I need to get first place where the game mode is heavily RNG? ARAM where again it's RNG, and if you get people who don't roll all the good champions away for no reason at all? Or 5v5 where it's a coin flip that you will, or won't get someone toxic who will probably harass you, and feed your lane if you speak up while you then have to sit there for 30 minutes in purgatory until the other team decides to stop taunt spamming to prolong the game even further, and take the Nexus... 3's was also a nice change up from ARAM. My friend group who play League got smaller... So at most I can really only get a team of 3 on RARE days... Otherwise it's really just me...

wow just logged on to play an 3v3 is gone, that is all i have played in the 10 years i have played this. i dont feel like playing over an hr for a game. 3v3 was where i could get in and play a match for about 30-45 minutes... bring this back please

hey guys, I am going to try making 3v3 on SR. Like "3v3, no top lane etc" Like you only play on bottom and MID lanes. I am not sure what to do with top lane minions. But last time I check it takes like 30-40 min for either side to push to inhib on their own
