It's all part of the setup so they can go " urf is out go check it out" on april 1st, where there actually is urf mode in game client with identical pick&ban phase, but once game finishes loading ppl will find themselves in this you-got-fooled room.
It's sad that they can't do something outrageous like that because then the community will go crazy. Like when they wanted to do reverse URF. It seems like a great idea and just being a long game in general would be a nice change of pace from all this fast game modes we currently have. It gets so boring.
But still we all know what April Fools is about, so it's safe to say something will come out probably not April first,but in my opinion it doesn't make sense that they claim it won't be out but will have it twice this year, despite the fact we are going to get rotation game mode!
There really isn't an URF mode planned for April. I'm on PBE, the skins exist for April but there is no URF mode or rotating queue available yet. I guess that would not be a priority over killing off team builder and buffing already powerful champions to the point of absurdity.
I'm unsure as to what the exact length is but they said the rotating queue is for weekends, so, two days for one mode? I mean, that's... really bad.
