Start using it unlocked and keybind for when you'd prefer it locked. Tbh ive always had unlocked but this was from years of playing rts games. Being able to play with both settings though could be advantageous in some situations like ahri or other dash champs

you can press spacebar to center the camera to your champion.

Instead of a toggle for lock/unlocked camera, use the spacebar. Holding that down centers the camera on your champion again.

It has nothing to do with your gaming setup. You just have to grit your teeth and do it; unlock the camera and play until you adjust. You'll be glad you did once you learn it.

I do the exact opposite of that. I keep my cam locked and mini-map screen check and unlock during certain times by mouse holding. I also walk by holding the mouse button and dragging the cursor. The unlocked cam doesn't help me. I can do both, but since my character is my main concern I always want it in the center of the screen for easy access For my insta spells that can't be alt-casted. It also makes estimating aoe rings that are larger than max screen size a bit easier. To each their own though.

Whatever works. Neither is completely objectively better, but unlocked definitely has more advantages than locked does. It just depends how each person values particular features of each method.

Bind a key for camera lock. When you're about to fight, press that to help you

could do that but some like a key closer to their ability keys

You get to choose what key you bind it to

Just start doing it. There isn't a easy tip to make you know. Play some bot games to get used to it, just remember that keybinding are Y to unlock/lock your camera and Space to go back to your champion but it does not lock the camera.

Thats what I am doing but the problem is that 90% of the game use locked camera and only when i chase someone or just want to hit with ranged ult i use unlock

Just keep using it. It will suck for like 3 games and then you'll get the hang of it. I spend a great deal of time with the space bar held down.

here's a tip.

  1. generally you want to keep the camera where u champion is.
  2. use the minimap, you can click some where on the minimap and the camera will move there. you can use this to quickly glance at other lanes, or move the camera back to yourself

Mouse sensitivity, if it is really low, you will have problems with it. I play with 5600 dpi, and never an issue.

you don't need any gaming gear for this, Though i recommend using a higher than standard sensitivity for your mouse so you can quickly move it around (you can do this ingame or in the windows menu, no special mouse needed).

Just practice it, i started doing it when i played starcraft, and i sucked for 10 games straight, but after that i got the hang of it, and i can no longer played with locked.

I played with locked camera for quite awhile. Then I bought Shen. Never used locked camera again lol

hold space bar when you're in a fight/need to snap back to your champion
