Her poke is absolutely absurd to deal with, her range is insane, and she's hardly punished for spamming it. I get that she's squishy but you can't get anywhere near her to try and take advantage of that, and she has the heal+shield even if you managed to get close. I'm not looking for an argument and I don't mean to come off as complaining, I would just like some more opinions on this matter.

IcyPepper1 votesThe problem with Sona is that while she is annoying... her hard counters happen to be the most popular supports.
Her range isn't that far, and can put her at risk when poking (it's approximately aa range, IIRC, so if you lasthit the minion she's next to a Blitz/Thresh grab will make sure she dies in seconds).
People consider 
to be Sona 2.0 (I disagree, but...) she has a point-and-click damage+heal spell, and a cc bubble that can be aimed past your minion wave, not to mention her ult has much farther range.

I'd say Sona is balanced, but needs a rework. She's annoying in some ways, and weak in others.
DeloricVI1 votesThe only thing that I really think makes Sona scary is Bronze soloqueue with Sona. You could probably faceroll games by being a good Sona in bronze. When someone is last pick and they tell everyone that they're terrible at support, but none of the rest of the team listens, Sona is the go-to pick. So, either you get the worst support you have had in your life, or your opponents underestimate your Sona, and she actually helps you win lane. Other than that... she usually doesn't do quite so much during the late game, other than her really big stun. Like, if I had one complaint about Sona, it's the fact that it's practically impossible to miss with your ult as long as they're in range.
Overall, there are much more terrifying supports out there. I don't really see her getting a nerf before Braum, Leona, Blitzcrank, Morgana, Lux, or Thresh.

Luner Hunter1 votesSona's already been reworked into the dumpster... i use to play her in Season 3 and Season 4... i refuse to play her now because she's 1/3 as good as she use to be (not to mention she's no longer an Aura Champ like she use to be)... but she's supposedly stronger now.... she has one of the worst base heals and scaling on her heals not to mention it is terribly mana inefficient (for those you who don't know what that means she heals X hp per Y mp and it is WAY less than 1:1), her Q? you say it hurts? ARE YOU SERIOUS? from her Season 4 stats its half the dmg, does 50%? 40% of her PC passive... i dont quite know anymore after them LITTERAL 23 nerfs in a roll i stopped keeping track... If you're an adc and you're getting out poked by Sona you need to learn to trade, also if your support isn't poking her when you can't then your support needs to learn to play, ontop of all that IF you're using Leona, Blitz, or Thresh and you're not shredding Sona every time she comes up to poke with her STUPIDLY SHORT Q RANGE then you both need to learn to play :|

and maybe can out-pace Sona with healing and maybe catch someone out, but you need to know what you're doing with your mana.

Easy tip: Focus the ADC. Sona can be an appealing target, but it's more often than not easier to kill the ADC before you do Sona.

She is currently in a very gutted state but in the past she was the dominate support to the point you could take her against her counters and still have a high chance to win even if you got crushed in lane, her auras used to be that strong.
Now she is just trash as riot as absolutely no clue what they are doing with her.

Sona players tend to go stupid early game by hovering to the front of her minion waves & adc, just to Q poke. Take that chance by landing hooks/pulls or throw in some hard pokes.
