S is way too hard on Xerath

Hello, I do pretty okay on Xerath most of the time, but find it incredibly difficult to get an S on this champion compared to others. I will regularly outperform everyone in the game, to be gifted with an "A-", or "A+"

While some of the games are close, and debatable, this last game was so outlandish that I had to make this post, and hope for some consideration in the reworking of how the grades are calculated for this character.

Score Screenshot 1 Score Screenshot 2 Score Screenshot 3

As you can see, I have the most kills, least deaths, second highest income generated, least damage taken, most damage given, three tower kills, ect ect.

My farm is average in this game, as it should be. When a champion is up 10-0-7 it makes little to no sense for them to continue to take farm away from their team mates, and they shouldn't be penalized for coming average on that metric.

18-0-17 is an S Grade, with the standard being so high it seems unfairly difficult to rank up on this champion's mastery.

Thanks for any consideration.

EDIT: Also note, both Janna and Shyvana got at least S- rankings that game.

Remember, grades are based on percentile performance, rather than someone at riot deciding what kind of stats are required for every champs grade.

For example, a performance in the top 2% of performances on a given champ in a given role will get an S+, regardless of what those stats happen to be. If you're doing something unconventional and probably awful like tahm kench adc, a performance thats is like 3/20/5 with 100 cs at 30 minutes with no wards or objective particpation is utterly awful in pretty much every regard, but if 98% of tahm kench ADCs were doing worse, it'd still be an S+.

Same applies to champs being played in conventional roles, it's just the best performances tend to be really good. Quite important to remember it's not just KDA (beating 18-0-17 in 30 minutes is unlikely), but your damage to objectives is relatively low, as is your cs considering it's a 30 minute game, and your vision score isn't anything to brag about either. (And remember, all these stats matter compared to other xerath players in the same role, not compared to your teammates. It's occasionally possible to outperform all of your teammates, but still do poorly relative to other xeraths if your teammates aren't doing so great.)

What truly matters is CS and a decent KDA, for supports kill participation and KDA. Wards, objectives, damage done its all useless shit and won't affect you in any way. Only for S+ you need to really have an outstanding game, but once again mostly in the farming department. Its stupid, but thats how it is - just farm it up, ignore your team, ignore objectives and you will get your grade. Just don't lose in the process because it always lowers your grade no matter the score.

I honestly think you deserve an S for that KDA alone, it's impressive, to say the least. However, CS heavily impacts your grading and is likely why you only got an A.

Smurf defender? Those are just the rules, your post would have been removed regardless. Stop stalking my board profile and downvoting/replying to every single one of my damn comments; because that's actually sad.

That is pretty fucking harsh not to get an S with a KDA like that.

But that said, since Xerath is a artillery/siege mage, I imagine that most of the people who play/main him end up with very high CS. And since your CS is middling at best, that is really dragging it down.

CS is taken is a lot on your grade. I've had this happen to me with xerath before.

if 18/0/17 xerath is only an a+, then dear gosh, silver xerath mains must be more godly then the champ himself ascended

its prob cause xerath is one of the most scripted champions in the game, so he constantly ends games with insane cs and kda.

you're cs is quite awful as a Xerath in a 30min game. You should aim for +70 per 10mins and you average just under 50 per 10min. It should be probably more than 70 every 10mins on someone like Xerath though.

Your vision score is also one of the lowest in the game too

unfortunately this is probably the case.. Xerath probably has his mastery system stuff messed up because of that time with the scripts people were abusing.

I have been spamming him a lot

It's bit weird that it's hard to get S or higher on him. I've had some pretty wild scores and I get A or A+

150 CS at 30 minutes + is terrible. You need at least 250 or 300 CS if you really want that S+ S- maybe 225 CS.

I'm Curious to see what getting an S+ consistently would require...
