Mordekaiser, the Master of Metal, in need of..... well Metal

I don't think this will be seen by any Riot employees, but hopefully by some fellow mord players or anyone really. So recently I've been trying to get back into playing Mordekaiser since he was my very first champion I ever played(the whole reason i got into league) and the recent changes to his kit, but i feel like he currently doesn't feel as fun or as playable as he use to. I know he is in need of a kit rework, but is there anything you can do right now to make him feel a bit better? Like maybe slightly raise his health regen that was nerfed pretty hard not to long ago or maybe even make his w have even more play. My idea for his W was to also have a "on enemy" cast that you can tag a enemy with which would do the DoT damage, a armor/mr shred(opposite of the self buff), and gain the movement speed buff towards the enemy. This would give him a little bit more viable damage, allow him to help keep up with carries without giving him cc, and push him more towards that fighter path. If someone agrees or disagrees with me I'd love to get some of your feed back because I'm really curious on what other people think on this.

As a Vet with over 1k games as Mordekaiser (this account is actually a Mordekaiser only smurf account) I feel as though he doesn't need any changes. He is in a great spot, people just do not know how to build him.

I have no idea why the most popular Mordekaiser build is glass cannon when he is a mlee champion with no cc or mobility. Build him like a typical bruiser, 1 or 2 ap items the rest full tank. He has a .4 ap ratio on his q and a .6 on his e. Compare this to other AP champions and you find this is extremely lackluster.

People do not understand he is meant to be built tanky as hell, especially after the removal of DFG. His base damage is very high, magic pen does very well with him. Did you know his AP ratios were virtually non-existant when he first came out and people built him full tank? Then Riot gives him some ratios and people go full retard.

The champion is great, can people who do not main him shut the fuck up about him because they are going to end up ruining something great. I get on the game and I am excited to play Mordekaiser, you aren't, and thats okay... just get the hell off the boards with this bullshit. Hell, if Riot reworks him they'll probably fuck him up like Zilean or Cass.

No need to be a dick pal. All I would want to see is a little bit more love towards mord. The place he is in is very close to the yorick zone. Sure kicks ass, but is boring to play, like extremely. Old cass was a perfect example, she had nothing going for her what so ever back then, but now days she has a very interesting play style, and with Zilean he is just tougher to play. I'd like to see Mord turn into the next Rengar. Sure Rengar can't one shot anyone lvl 1 with double q full ad, but he has so much more counter play and gameplay. Mord right now is a themactical wreck and he needs the love.

And now on to your comment. It started really educational as if you were trying to be a decent human being and teach someone how to make mord more fun and pick worthy, but then you turned it into a slander by shit talking Riot and myself. You sir need to figure yourself out cause as it stands, you are the definition of a dick.

Mpen seems to be the better route to take on Morde, instead of loading him down with AP. The trouble is that a build like item 3020 item 3136 item 3135 item 3001 will leave Morde squishy as hell. He's a melee champ, two of his abilities are melee range and one is short range. You need to be able to take a few hits, and your passive isn't going to be enough.

However, there are two tank items that both do damage and benefit from the abyssal aura: item 3068 item 3075.

So if you turn Morde into an AP bruiser that stacks mpen, he becomes very tanky (resistances reduce the damage to his shield, so focus on those before HP) and also deals lots of burst and sustained damage thanks to his high base damages and sunfire/thornmail aura. You could even throw in a item 3512 for extra pushing power.

Lol if creeping death had an enemy cast it would just be

  • hide in a bush

  • wait for enemy

  • creeping death - ult - ignite

  • run away
