In my opinion autofill shouldn't be a thing at all. I'm sure the majority of league players would prefer waiting the couple of extra minutes just to get 1 of the 2 roles they choose other than having to play a 20-50 minute game in a role you don't enjoy. Also I'd like to touch on the point that it exists in normal games to; I'm an ADC main but sometimes I like to play mid in a normal game to untilt or just have some fun with friends and I'd get autofilled support which is a role I don't enjoy. As a whole I'd much prefer waiting an extra 10 minutes to just get the role I want to play and actually enjoy it. What's does everyone think about this and do you think autofill should be a thing in certain elo's?

Actually thinking about it, if people are that bothered about losing the extra minutes and like autofill there should be an option to turn it on or off.

Waiting 5-10 extra minutes per game will eventually cost you 2-3 games

But getting a role you're not comfortable on would increase the chance of you losing the game don't you think?

Debatable, I'm a older player so I played a good amount of time in the old system where it was pick order so I naturally learned how to do all the roles. Obviouslyy win chances as a top laner is less then mid (as I'm a mid laner) but it's still good practice n I'm still fairly confident up top (my worst role). I think auto fill helps in that regard, it keeps me decent at all roles.

I completely understand where you're coming from. What do you think about an option to turn it on or off? Then people can choose if they want to wait the extra time in queue to get the role you want or if you want to get in a game as fast as possible keep it on.

My prob with that is the people who don't turn it off would be effected more due to having to auto fill more. I personally get auto filled once every 10-15 games, I'm ok with that

Is that really the amount of games you get autofilled in? Wow I get autofilled every like 3-4 games.

Yep, once every 10-15 games. I played I think 15-17 games since yesterday n got auto filled once (top) lol

The only way a "turn off Autofill" system could work is if it only matched those who turned it off with others who turned it off. Good luck getting a Support Main to opt out of Autofill when it doesn't effect them.

I mostly play blind pick these days due to the ban increase, I don't have time to wait through that. I just let the people spam the role they want and I ask what is left, I get a role variety but some games are back to back support.

Yeah understandable, so autofill would be ideal for you if you played draft to save time.

I'm putting my opinion forward, I for one don't think it should exist, especially in normal games since they're for fun and to practise champions you want to play. I wouldn't like getting autofilled support if I wanted to practise Zed mid for example...

I wouldn't want to have to wait hours for a normal game because nobody feels like playing support.
