Team Builder gets Replaced. Do you Agree or Disagree?

With the new season six, there have been multiple changes to the various queues. First off is the new Draft queue. I can agree with people that it is a lot nicer now. The fact that you can now choose your preference of role means that there is a lot less fighting over lanes in champ select. The ability of being able to show your team what you want to play before picks and bans means that you don't need to worry about someone on your team banning away the champion you want to play (as long as they are paying attention). And giving the last three bans ensures that a majority of the team get a say in who they ban while also diminishing the risk of someone trolling and banning out champs that your team wants to play. Overall, draft is a better place now.

Now for the changes to the Team Builder queue. Or mainly the fact that Riot has removed it entirely from the game. This upset me. Team Builder was originally created to find a better way to queue in League. It worked in some aspects while others were problematic. It worked in the sense that you were able to choose what champion and role you wanted, every single time. It didn't in the fact that queue times were longer and building a specific "composition" was difficult to do. However, I disagree with Riot's decision. Admittedly, Team Builder had a few issues, but to me, It worked perfectly well. Team Builder can be seen in a couple of ways. Binge playing: You can play any champ you want in the role you wish, however many times you wish. This can allow players to "binge" on a certain champion they like to play. Learning Queue: Some people can say that Vs. Bots can be used to learn champs. Mechanically, it can. But Team Builder allowed people to pick the champ and/or lane they want to learn without having to worry about someone else taking that lane or insta-locking the champion. They also got the experience of learning the champ in a more real, risky situation. Playing against actual people is very different from playing against bots.

Team Builder may have been slow, but there are a lot of players who liked it. I believe that in the next patch, Riot should re-instate Team Builder into the game selection options as a non-competitive queue.
