Malzahar Love

Hey all,

Just wanted to start a discussion of whether anyone thinks Malzahar needs any love. I think some of his kit is really interesting but that his Ult is a bit boring. I would love to see him come back a bit into pro play and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what could be done.

I think an interesting take on his Ult would be once you cast on someone then, after 0.5 seconds, if another champ in within a certain range it would connect to them and then after anther 0.5 seconds another, etc. If multiple champs are connected together for 1 second then they are stunned. I would then remove the suppress and maybe look at the damage ratios to balance.

Any thoughts?

I think suppressions are just really bland and unhealthy. It's the only thing that actually makes him an assassin anyway.

Suppressions never make for fun gameplay. That's partially what I meant by that. I know QSS exists, too.

I would make his ult little bit too strong . The reason why you won't see malzhar in more professional play is because he lacks mobility mobility is a really strong stat right now . The only love I personally would give him is to adjust his AI for his pets They still do nothing at times

The only thing he needs is QOL changes to his voidlings to make them more reliable (... The amount of times I ult a champ and the voidling sits there playing poker with itself is astounding)

Kit wise he's already very strong thanks to his point and click suppression and targeted silence (seriously, it's not hard to land) giving him pretty obscene safety, with respectable burst AND DOT damage all while not having to buy any mana regen unless you're AD.

His Ult is super boring.

Would be more fun if it stunned the target for 2.5 seconds by making a fully evolved Voidling burst out of them ala Alien. That would allow Malz to actually peel for himself while at the same time opening up more options for dealing with his Ult.

That sounds really interesting, I think his voidlings add a lot to the champ but yeah, they could act a bit more intelligently...

Maybe an item that gave you a burst of speed but halved your damage output would help alot of the low mobility champs. With the appropriate cooldown of course.
