Add a range indicator to more tethers (Karma, Leblanc, etc?)

Morgana's ult was given a range indicator for its tethers for the sake of gameplay clarity and counterplay. For the sake of these things, as well as consistency, Karma's W and Leblanc's E (as well as any other tethers that aren't coming to me immediately) should be given range indicators visible to both the target and the caster as well. Complete with matching-color schemes. Make it happen, Rito.

Fix LB's janky ass hitboxes and range first. Then indicators.

Malzahar could use it for his ult too...Have you ever canceled his ult trying to summoner 14 during it (you CAN ignite during his ult...but it has a 50 longer range than his ult and you will cancel your ult if you are in that range).

Sad times.

This thread is about tethers that can break by moving too far away - karma and leblanc's, for example. There's no situation where you could walk out of Malzahar's ult without the move order itself canceling the whole thing.

I thought Malzahar's ult continued channeling even if you QSS'd it, but you stopped being suppressed, and thusly could walk out of it

I could be wrong though

I don't think it was a tether range. I have seen the ult affect people who somehow got pretty far away.

A quick look at the wiki tells me this:

Nether Grasp's suppression and tethered damage effects are separate. If the suppression is removed, Nether Grasp will continue to deal damage unless the channel is interrupted or the tether is broken by moving away.

So it appears that you can break the tether by moving away, it's probably just really long like LeBlanc's.

My point was that you can cancel it by casting ignite out of range, NOT by a move order.

EnvyDragon2 votes

Yeah.

Because he'll attempt to move into range to cast it.

That's what happens when you try to cast things out of range.

How could they be out of range of your ult if you've already casted it on them, though?

You can cast Ignite during Malzahar's ult without stopping the channel. However, Ignite has a slightly shorter range than Malz's ult. If you are out of range for ignite, you'll cancel Malz's ult to cast it.

Nocturne's E, Unspeakable Horror.

I wonder if Trundle's R, Subjugation (The drain over time part) counts as a tether. Anyways-- onward.

Swain's Q, Decrepify (aka Bird Laser) and R, Ravenous Flock(?)

I never know the tether range for Nocturne. It's obnoxiously short.

For the summoner 13 !

If they did it for Leblanc, then it might reveal just how buggy it really is and we can't have that.

I miss the old Karma's Choo-Choo Train tether... but yeah, I agree with the OP's point as well.

I have played against dozens of LBs and I still have no idea how long that tether range... some days it feels like 1000 units and others it feels more like 600 units.
