Shurelya's reverie is broken and needs a nerf

Shurelya's stats make it a good pick on supports, AP tanks and manaless mages, so it's a very commonly seen item. Singed, Vlad and Nunu are the main abusers of this item I've seen but there are many more buyers.

What makes the item OP is that the active is the same as predator rune or righteous glory but 1000 times better. Here's a quick comparison to the former :

  • Predator/RG only work on yourself, shurelyas is AOE, and the AOE is massive (about 1000 units) so it affects your entire team.

  • Shurelyas only has a 60 second cooldown, predator and RG have a 150-100 and 90 second cooldown respectively.

  • Predator/RG can only be used to engage, shurelyas can be used to both engage and disengage. The low cooldown disengage is the main reason why it's way too good.

So shurelyas is literally a 60 second cooldown enage/disengage for your entire team with no counterplay whatsoever. Not to mention how abusable it is on a splitpusher like Singed. Right now it's the most anti-fun thing in the game.

What needs to be done IMO :

  • Remove the passive MS bonus
  • Make the active MS bonus only work when moving towards enemy champions (just like RG)

40 AP and 200 HP

Those are absolute garbage stats for someone like Vlad who would want to have more aggressive items and more AP and HP to scale better. He's MUCH MUCH better off building Hextech Protobelt for both it's higher stats and it's more aggressive uses. I don't think Shurelya's needs nerfing. It's purposefully got bad stats, so if people are taking it, they're losing on their offensive capabilities and essentially becoming the second support.

You forget the 10% CDR which Vlad absolutely needs, not to mention the passive movement speed which is higher than 3k gold items. Also Shurelya active gives more mobility than protobelt active.

Shurelya doesn't have bad stats. The stats are gold-efficient, just look at the wiki. Don't forget it's only 2100 gold.

Protbelt has 10% CDR, considering it also builds from a Kindlegem. While Shurelya's does offer MS, the Protbelt can be used more offensively since the rockets deal damage as he's engaging with the active. Plus, the Protobelt is only a mere 400G more than Shurelya's.

That's basically my point, when you look at what's better for yourself both are comparable, but the fact that shurelya affects your entire team is a dealbreaker that you get literally for free. ...and seriously 40% ms for 3 seconds is way more mobility than a small dash.

Shurelya is the 4th most bought item on Vlad right now.

Yeah it's gold efficient but that still doesn't mean the stats are good. You are giving up a slot for an item that would increase your damage or tankiness way more in exchange for a quick small powerspike that is attached to a pretty good active. The longer the game goes the less relevant those stats are going to look when compared to pretty much everything else you could have built instead

item 2065 on Fiddlesticks is amazingly strong, thing is its pretty situational, it works well on champs that want to go in Malphite Nautilus support, Gragas jg could use it well too. its a fantastic early/midgame item for engage type champs, BUT its cheap, and because of its low pricepoint it gets severely outscaled stat wise by other build paths if you dont use it to push your advantage and win early, i think its a very good niche item, champs like Orianna Xerath Veigar Velkoz who tend to stay in the backline wouldnt really want it, and a champ like Vladimir who it does synergize with CAN take it but is hurting his late game scaling and delaying stronger powerspikes in return for the playmaking tool.

What if im using it to run away from other guy with shurelia? Or with RG? Do you want to remove any possibility of counterplay?

PS just kiddin. Everything OP said is complete load of crap. Dont even feel like replying to every line -_-

Well what do you know. Shurelya just got nerfed in 8.11. Thanks Riot. Base MS, cost and cooldown nerfed, just like I said.

People who downvoted this just got schooled.
