Alistars Headbutt

Alright so this is more of a question that anything.

Alistar

From what I've seen I like the change from 'targeted' to 'skillshot' and the fact that its slower moving, now the softer alistar builds have a decent escape if need be.

I've played jungle alistar a few times and think there's a lot of potential there, he's got great sustain, is naturally tanky and the cc helps with ganks.

So by the looks of things his new W knocks jungle monsters right through walls and out of their camps, (it used to as well, but was tameable if u aimed it right) does this mean I should say bye to my hopes of perfecting jungle Alistar?

-I do remember changes in the past with intent of removing viability from jungle Alistar, why was that?

The fact that you can't pass wall's yourself is a let down, I can imaging being stuck behind a wall while a teammate is on the other side getting caned and I can no longer come outta nowhere with the saves.

Lastly, I want jungle thresh, I've tried it more than I should have but he just has a bit too much trouble surviving efficiently, I always end up behind. (Those ganks though) wouldn't it be good to see thresh in another role besides just support as he has such an interesting kit. (Please make it possible)

Was it intended for his targets to pass through walls when headbutted? Why?

What's the reason for not letting Alistar Himself pass through walls with his headbutt?

Thanks Glorious Viktor

Riot doesn't want Alistar to do anything besides support apparently

The W change is nice because you can actually dodge his WQ combo somewhat and it actually takes skill to land and time it, and timing it is more about skill rather than ping, which is nice.

They removed the ability to go over walls with it because that adds too much mobility to a champion that already has an insane amount of power. He can stun lock someone for over 2 seconds, gets 70% damage reduction and can heal constantly. Giving him the ability to over walls seems a bit much.

Every time he goes anywhere else they complain and then mega nerf him, even though the W change will actually hurt his supporting since it deals damage to the full wave and his trample getting buffed recently to double damage vs minions is also weird for his support lane

I have no idea what Riot actually wants him to do anymore

If they really wanted Alistar to jungle they would finally rework his E like they talked about extensively a year ago

No more worries for anyone, it's been confirmed to be an error https://twitter.com/Pwyff/status/557678106551812096

Well, support is debatable now, as they've removed headbutt's ability to even hit a target mid dash/warp. Now so long as Jax used leap strike before alistar's headbutt connected, he would not be knocked away, or even take damage from the ability. I thought zoning was alistar's purpose but riot's balance team seems to be unclear on the matter.
