dear riot and league nerds,

I think that alotta the time people who play as the support as well as there team, don't appreciate that player as much as they deserve, and can make playing the support kinda a bummer....

my suggestion is that riot and its badass designers should make a way to show not only how much healing is done to their party, but also the damage the support shielded or negated throughout the match....it seems like they woulda done this long time ago maybe its not as simple as it sounds but.... it would make the person playing the support feel like they do more and make playing as a support character much more fun and certainly more validated..... comment below....maybe help me spread this around league boards....try an convince riot and its team to make this a reality....ty

A week or two ago a Rioter commented that they were working on a change to the end of game states targeted specifically on utility champs. I think it is likely to go out around mid season.

Also a buff bar that counts how often a support saved you(like phantom dancer's stat) would be nice, but unlikely.

Support's been the least-appreciated, least-fulfilling, least-rewarding role for a long time. It's also the easiest role to flame, along with jungler.

There are a lot of problems with the role, from gold income to woefully inadequate items to even just individual champions. You're not allowed to be a carry with a traditional support, so you're wholly reliant on your team — the ability to actually have a noticeable impact of your own is part why champions like Zyra and Brand see a lot of play there.

Supporting has always sucked. It's been getting better, but it still sucks. Riot's been disgustingly slow on improving the role, and despite what they say, it doesn't feel like it's ever been a very high priority subject for them.
