Matchmaking - how not to be able to do maths

Matchmaking Guide

You wrote it in the article about matchmaking - MMR should be more or less the same, the chance of winning should be about 50% +-1, you add that sometimes games might feel like stomps, you want to assure that the match is leveled. Well, 95% of my games are stomps. According to op.gg I'm in a third game in a row that my opponents are on average 2 divisions above my team. So, before you write articles like this, please make sure you know what you are talking about. Cheers!

@op. LP Moves slower then MMR. MMR is used to make matches. What Division some one is currently is not inherently an accurate measurement of their MMR.

The 50% chance to win is assuming all assigned MMR is at an accurate range for each player. The reality is MMR systems expect to be wrong, that's WHY you can climb and sink. It updates every single match to move you towards a more accurate range.

Also, pretty positive you made up the 95%.

But hey welcome to the Bandwagon for complaining about MM. Enjoy farming your FOTM topic mate.

Looking at OP.gg right now:

Last game reported was 20 hours ago. Gold score was 73K to 71K. Kills were almost identical too. Yeah ... what a stomp. Game before that gold score was 54K - 46K. Game before that gold score was 54K - 45K. Game before that gold score was 67K - 61K.

These games are tighter than many Pro matches.

You have to understand that in most games one team is going to get a lead, and if they play smart - they will build on that lead. That's the nature of the game. Early risk / success is rewarded. But none of your games are runaway stomps. No idea where you came up with 95%.

Find something else to complain about.

When you come to a post expected "maths" and find nothing but conjecture. Amumu
