Team mates abilities that passes under knocked up champions

Hello, ive been playing blitzcrank alot lately. trying to go from platinum to diamond this season and i am wondering the next:

Ive seen many times when i knockup a champion and the champ is in mid-air, that an others teammate champions ability, f.e. Morgana's q passes under the knocked up champ. Another example is nidalee's q passes under the knocked up champ.

Is this a solid bug or does it go with the game mechanics? I was wondering if other blitcranks or perhaps Janna's seen this happen and asking themself the same question. I think its a good thing to know for teammates if its just the game mechanics or if its a bug that riot should take a look at.

Let me know what you find out about this, im eager to know.
