I confess. Riot, I love you guys. But the decision making there...
First, the situation was Solo/Duo: "We have had to make 'adjustments' to compensate for duo's that would be so impactful in their games, they would completely shut out the opposition.
And now the Dynamic Queue situation: "We've allowed you to take as many friends as you want into Ranked play, and allowed you to have total control over your ranked games."
Essentially, if I'm understanding this correctly, you said in general that you don't want a mere duo dictating games against non premades in the ladder, and then you 180 and give a group of people complete control over how they play their games against non-premades.
I'm not sure what the aim was behind the former statement, but the latter just completely obliterates the idea you had there.
EDIT: Oh! And why am I ALWAYS 1st pick Mid? I don't like that anymore with the advent of 2-5 man premades. Sure there is the option to trade, but not everyone owns every champ, so there are limitations there that didn't exist prior. They can now just focus on overrunning me and pick a counter comp, or else, I just have to go with a weaker pick and throw them off. Either way, the end result is the same, I don't play the champ I want to play.
So I'll go with an off pick, and get flamed for it because someone on my team believes I'm incapable of doing it and starts the parroting show, and I won't get the same prioritization from my Jungler as if i went with a 'meta' pick. (I believe the most common terms they have put it in was "That shit doesn't work!")
Here's looking at you, Ladies...

Near the very top of the ladder, around the 20-10 percentiles, I notice that the LP gains/losses seem very negligent. Is it even worth trying to get there at this point? At some point, I'm not going to get anything worth while, and I won't lose anything impactful, so I'll just be playing the game, so to speak.
