If you liked the sniping aspect of her, you might try Jayce or Varus. Both AD champs, but jayce also has the same stance mechanic as nidalee.

Elise, Lee Sin, and Rek'sai have long ranged skillshot abilities but I think they also kinda fall off in the late game and none of them really has the same kind of oomph in the raw damage output they have.

Gragas and Olaf both have long ranged abilities that help them close in on targets and deal decent amounts of damage.

I don't know if Karma jungle is still a thing, but if you can make that work then pretty much all her damage output is from firing off tons of skillshots.

champs i like are Lux Blitzcrank Morgana RekSai Ziggs Khazix Ahri Darius

So the champions with the transformation aspect are Elise Jayce RekSai (her burrowing and unburrowing) and Gnar (have to charge it up). Shyvana also transforms, but her abilities only get stronger instead of straight out changing like the others.
