How To Get Out Of Bronze In Season 8 (For Dummies)

(This is a partial reminder for myself when I find myself struggling in ranked for seemingly no reason.) PLEASE READ---------> This may seem very long, but if you are struggling with ranked in bronze then you will not be disappointed. I find that when I watch videos on people telling me how to climb most of the information I end up forgetting so I think taking the time to read this will be beneficial to anyone.

Alright, so basically the story will pan out the same for most if not all of the bronze people reading this. You can't get out of bronze. Simple. There is a perfectly logical explanation to why you cannot get out. Me included. I recently figured out the issue to why I have not been climbing and it is because of many reasons. All of these reasons can be traced back straight to being way to kill hungry. Once I fixed just a couple things I started to climb at an alarming rate.

Just to get all of the generic reasons to why you are not climbing here they are:

  1. You Blame your teammates for your losses While this may sometimes be true I guarantee that someone who genuinely belongs in a higher rank will climb out of bronze in due time.

  2. You are playing when you are tilted I have found that the second I start to get mad at the game I will do many things. I will start kill hunting, I will have way less map awareness, and I will make illogical decisions leading you to tilt even more.

  3. You only focus on yourself While it is nice to carry games and get that sweet 4 honors, you need to accept that this will not happen every game. For example if you are a jungler and you see that a lane is doing particularly well you should play around that lead and let them carry you. It is never frowned upon to be carried as long as you do not rely on a carry to win a game.

  4. You aren't god (Very Important) This can happen at any point throughout the game, but it mostly happens in lane. When you are laying you need to remember that you are able to die also. It may sound stupid and obvious, but I have found when people go in they often are only thinking about how they will kill you and don't take into consideration the damage or outplay potential of the other person. Think of it as chess. You can have the best plan for what is on the board at the moment, but if the other player counter plays your move then you have no plan. I highly recommend (Especially for bronze players) to think of your opponent in lane as double your strength. This way you would take illogical fights and will rarely lose lane. This will also greatly improve your cs, which will often take the place of a kill that you might've gotten if you went in.

  5. You aren't CSing enough EVERYONE in higher elo when asked how to climb will say this. Simple. The more you CS the farther ahead of your opponent you will be.

Okay now that all of the generic stuff that anyone can tell you is out of the way let me tell you why you really aren't climbing. It has something to do with a thing called fun. You are playing with the meta not with your heart. Now I know it is cliche, but it is true. Think about it. Already with this you fix one of the things above. Because how can you be tilted if you are having fun. Take the time to find the right champion for you. I know it may be hard to get new champs because it takes time, but hear me out. Go on a friend's account, your brother, your sister, your uncle, the creepy guys from across the street, etc. Test out champions. The way I did this was finding a type of champion pool that insisted me and I searched through h that until I found the right champion pool for me. Remember fun beats meta in the long run.

Another reason you can't climb is because you do not have a good champion pool. I have heard plenty people tell me that in bronze it doesn't matter who you play even if you are countered in lane. However, it is always nice to have that pocket pick of yours that perfectly plays against their team comp. You need to have a back up champion incase your champion gets banned, picked, or counter picked so the you don't have to dodge games because you can only play one champion.

The third reason that you can't climb in not learning from your mistakes. You may lose a game because you are being too aggressive or you aren't CSing enough. While these mistakes can be forgotten it is important that you fix them for next time.

The final reason to why you can't climb is you are solo queuing. You are taking the gamble every game. Friend a good player in one of your games. Or play and get better with an irl friend. Thats all for now. Good Luck on the rift! :)

You missed an important point. Finding a Main. I'm looking at your OP.GG right now and you keep switching between champions & playing in different lanes. I'm a Kat/Diana onetrick and I used only them 2 to climb from B4 to S2 in a month. You'll have a much easier time climbing if you stuck to 1 champion.
