Tanks in the jungle

I played the other day. He can barely survive two camps on the first clear. I know the new jungle changes were hard on a lot of champs, but especially tanks. Many of the viable tank junglers that I played, such as now have such a difficult time in the jungle I wonder why I should even play them in the jungle. Of course some of the more gimmicky junglers I play or can no longer be suited in the jungle.

I can understand that they weren't mean to be in the jungle so it's not that big of a deal, but what really irks me is the fact that these new jungle items work wonders on carries. I played in the jungle a lot in season 4, and it was pretty crap. With the new smites, he is one of my strongest junglers.

I realize that riot doesn't really care about tanks and their itemization, considering and exist and there is no tank counterpart, but when they got rid of quill coat and replaced it with the which does help, but those junglers who don't need it can get much better items, like which guarantees free cc to hard carries such as

I just wish tanks would get a buff instead of being cut down at every turn.

Putting this out there, virtually every champion in the game can clear the red buff at level 1 with Smite and the blue buff at level 2 (or vice versa, but you might want to save Smite for red if you start blue). Yes, even tank Junglers.

If you also start at one buff and immediately run straight to the next, by the time you finish the second buff camp, you will immediately have 350 gold.

I had a good game as Evelynn of all champs, the fricking Evelynn "I can't even survive S4 Jungle" Evelynn Jungler of all champs, and had few problems with the early game using this trick.

The Tank junglers that I play are Sejuani Volibear with TANK RUNES. Health yellows, armor reds, mr blues, armor quints. For Voli I take item 3706 with Juggernaut. And Sejuanni I use item 3713 with Juggernaut. Basically get hp and tenacity with this then you can get some item 3047 and be a tanky CC engager. You will get focused and kited a lot, but If you make the right plays and protect your carries It works out decently. I honestly want to try Amumu though, he also seems like a good tank jungler. But yeah Nautilus is one of those guys who really fell off in this new jungle

Try rammus then. He has decent jungle clears, since his W gives him great sustain, It's possible to to Red - wolves - Blue without going back to base.

Not sure if this is optimal, but I take AS marks, HP/Level yellows, scaling MR or CDR blues (if they have no strong AP), and armor quints.

Rammus hard counters master yi, as well as most assasins, and every adc of course.
