AFK and LP loss

Now that the new season is going and we all strive for those LP points, I'm pretty sure most of us know about this issue already. Leaver/AFKers.

Players that leave the game or afk just ruin the entire gaming experience for everyone. And even tho Riot says that they know about the problem and are going to punish the people that leave or afk games, they don't really seem to do anything with them.. And what about the people with the leaver/afker? We just have to sit there and accept that we just lost LP. We should atleast get something for having an afker? Like, only lose half of the LP you normaly would? Because as a silver player, trying to climb my way up to gold I meet a lot of leavers, and it just ends up with me having to take 1-2 extra games just to get to were I just was.

So please Rito, find a way to not just punish the leavers. But to help us that are stuck with the leavers.
