Role calling in blind pick can be a bit confusing if two people fight over who got it first, or someone connects after something is called. Perhaps a system could be in place making sure all players are connected to the chat before they can say anything to allow it to be fair in calling it and provide less confusion. It should, however be a limited amount to connect to the chat to avoid waiting for an entire minute or more (Perhaps 10 seconds?). This could be a way to lower toxicity between people in matches by taking away the the grudge someone holds when they didn't get their lane, because someone's friend had said they got the role. This is, however just food for thought on a more accurate chat system, the way it is now leaves a lot of people with stolen roles from the inaccurate chat, and lots of angry players.

Yes, it's true you could always use Team Builder, but just in blind pick when I have no problem myself, there tends to be a spark of negativity between two people because of this problem that causes the team to fall apart, leaving them to argue. I simply added this post as a way to improve blind pick and remove toxicity.
