If you weren't buying this item often, you weren't building optimally especially if you have a strong engage. Randuins plus tabi = 22% damage reduction on a full crit yasuo. I built it for jhins, yasuo's caits, dravens, jinxes, and basically anyone who built an IE who might also build a LW item.

So not only do you get that massive flat % damage decrease, you slowed attacks by 15%.

THEN on top of that, it had the best raw stats of any other armor+health item

AND that aoe slow....

unbelievably good item.
