Provisionals. I'm in Bronze 3 now. I went 7/3.

So, I decided to play all of my ranked games today, so I could just get it over with. I lost my first game but then went on a win streak of 7. I felt good, I felt like I might actually be higher than what I was last season (I had ended with Silver 4). I played a couple more and ended up losing the next two. "Whatever," I thought, "last season I got Bronze 4 from 6/4 and I did very poorly in those games." I was a really bad player at the time. Now, when I get to the after game screen, I see my new rank appearing on the screen, and it looks like gold. ~~ OH MY GOD I GOT GOLD.~~ Yeah... no. It was Bronze. Bronze 3. I went down 4 ranks. To me, this doesn't seem very... fair. I did fairly well in my games, and I was usually ranked against other silvers and higher. Does anyone else feel like they got a bit screwed over by their provisionals?

After Placements, you won't be the same rank you ended S5 / S6 Preseason as.

If you deserve to be a higher rank, then eventually you will get there.

For those who don't understand why there are MMR resets and why Placements are how they are take into consideration the following.

The game is constantly changing, Players can be a Bronze material player one patch and a Gold Player in another patch. Don't expect to be the same rank every season just because you ended S5 as X rank. The game is always changing that means the player must adapt to these changes. Some players adapt to change better than others, that is why they are ranked higher. The point of the MMR Reset is to display how a player has adapted to these changes, which means the rank you're placed at isn't so significant. 10 Game is statistically not a large enough sample size to draw any conclusions, so stop worrying about your Rank and continue playing more games.

I doubt you were paired with anything higher than low silver. You should be happy you got bronze, eZ to get out of. Or not when you're feeding in bronze 3 lol............... Everyone got like a full tier below, so your problem isn't new in these boards with people crying about being stuck in bronze 5.

I was SIlver IV as well last season, ended up 7/3 also but I got Bronze II. In the grand scheme of things, it's not that hard of a reset

Silver 4 it's fair to be placed in bronze

I don't mind being placed in silver 2 while being plat in the previous season bc I know I can climb up and improve

If it mAkes you feel any better I had a diamond in my game doesn't even play any different from a gold player Too bad everyone on my team was making fun of him having 800 games as rumble having a 42% win rate
