Cho'Gath silence hits while i am untargetable?

Playing as vladVladimir I had activated my pool and was beginning my escape and all was well, but while i was in pool choChogath somehow silenced me with his scream? how does this happen? If i am untargetable no other aoe's hit me so why does this? i understand it has an instant hit on the area, that i had seen in videos, but to be able to silence me while i'm in pool has to be a bug or something. anyone know if riot is looking into this?

They won't look into it; Cho'gath is overpowered but they won't do anything about it because he's controlled the same way Olaf was. Only people who always land his Q are dangerous.

Now Olaf is in professional play even though nothing changed and I called this. Cho'gath is the same condition, which means they won't nerf him even if he's genuinely broken.

i just don't understand how when i am in my pool he can activate silence and still hit me. what does untargetable even mean anymore...

It's a coding thing. When he first clicks W (and the animation starts, like when he leans back to roar), the spell determines who was in the scream area at the time of casting. When the animation finishes, it damages and applies CC to them, regardless of whether or not they're still in the area. I really wish that they'd fix it, but that's how it works now.

Olaf is in professional play because the items introduced in the Juggernaut rework were highly beneficial to him and the meta changed significantly after 5.16.

You can't just say nothing has changed.

Stop confusing op with your incorrect information.

This should have been post in the bugs section since it's clearly one as the two last comments imply too.

You can also send a ticket about it explaining the bug. Riot will probably see it faster. Make sure to post your ticket in the bug category tough. ^^

P.S.: Sorry about mistakes in English.

i didn't want to post it in the bug section because i thought it might be working as intended, but i just wanted to figure out if that is really how the mechanic is meant to work. I am curious though... why does vlad not get hit by all area of effect spells then while in pool? it seems this is the only spell that does it.

Because its not a targeted spell, its aoe. You are untargettable but not invulnerable.

Wait this is fucking serious? You can just aoe murder a Vlad this whole time and nobody told me?

Man that would have been important to know, I could have Culled the Meek on him hundreds of times! >.<
