Can't wait for the next URF Rotation

  • Kassadin is still bad :(
  • Zed, Wukong and Shaco are absolute terror
  • ADCs totally worthless, except Graves and Kog
  • Morgana is totally nuts, holy...
  • Nautilus is so much fun

Other than that, i had a fun Nocturne game, TF Q poke is pretty decent and Galio is totally overpowered but not much fun to play. Urgot is pretty fun as well.

I think AP poke has to be somewhat limited in the future, ADCs just can't compete at all.

Ascension was more fun, but URF is better than poro king.

BlankePotetar4/25/2016, 12:47:58 PM3 votes

Lots of people here said it was cool, so I had to try it! :D

Played 4 games I think, but people were being mean so I didn't want to play more...

The game mode is fun, the players aren't.

As i am new to league of legends, i had hella fun playing urf, since i could practice learning how to aim properly. In normals or bots, you could use spells in a limited period of time, in urf i could do as many times i want. so urf was kind of an experiment lab for me, i could hardly lanf heims w-ult on a champ, now since i played urf, i got a bit better.

Playing so much in the urf made me forget the fact that there is something called "resource" like mana rage, etc, and that those are not infinite. Right now after playing a bot game i realized how much i depended on teleports, now walking takes too much time.

Op champs? i wouldnt say any, just because it depends on how much you can spam the abilities, but i loved playing against a zed, he was toxic, but hey, cant blame the champ for its sneaky skills lol.

I would say most of the adc category was useless or not so bright like the others, except a certain few like vayne, ashe, ezreal (but he is mostly ap), etc. [slayer-jinx-wink]

BastionKross4/25/2016, 12:58:55 PM2 votes

Very restrictive in your picks. There were more than six top tier champs, so no matter what at least one really powerful champ slid by the ban phase. If your team picked fun champs and someone on the enemy team picked a strong champ, the game was basically over before it began.

Would have liked to have five bans a team, one for each player.

Jeddy0174/25/2016, 6:33:02 PM2 votes

All I can say is AP Nasus FTW.

AWyldSylveon4/25/2016, 10:03:43 PM2 votes

I'm neutral. So many champions are just disgustingly overbearing, and they appeared far too often for me to really play anything especially silly. It was fun about 2/5 times I played it.

EfficientDynamo4/25/2016, 5:27:34 PM1 votes

Honestly, I think Riot dropped the ball here. Urf has the potential to be a lot of fun, but by not increasing the number of bans we ended up seeing too many unstoppable champs in every game (like Fizz and Zed). Also, I have never had a more toxic weekend since I started playing League a couple years ago.

Urf can be made great again, but Riot needs to consider the lessons they learned here and make some changes to deter toxicity and spamming ~10 champs every game.

Narsicus4/25/2016, 5:33:57 PM1 votes

I feel about urf how I feel about most of the alternate game modes.

It was fun for a few games, there are certainly some really enjoyable champions in urf. I especially enjoyed Jhin with his spam traps and super range and I also got to play my obligatory urf Swain who can finally be the bird man he always wanted to be.

But people tend to pick the same overpowering champions every single game which makes it stale very quickly. I know people like winning, and as such champions that are good at that in these modes are naturally going to see a lot of play, but even still it is annoying to try and have some random fun only to be stomped unless you pick something that can at least stand up to the urf monsters.

So, fun for a few games but the people you play with give it a rather short half life.

BillyisaBAMF4/25/2016, 6:19:37 PM1 votes

Some champions just should not be playable in URF because they simply win the game. Remember the FIRST time they released URF? They had about 3 champions (maybe more, it's been a while) that just couldn't be played in URF. Ryze being one of them. They have not done that since then. I know they will not do that again so that the people can play whoever they want to play as long as they don't get banned out by the other team. They should think about this next time, there are 130 champions available at the time I'm posting this. 6 bans is all they give us. There are way to many threats for only 6 bans. Especially in URF. I'm not saying give ranked or draft pick more bans (though it would make sense, since they have created many champions since the bans were implemented, but really it's fine It's not like URF lol). I feel like next time URF comes around more bans would be nice. I don't know about y'all, but I got tired of seeing the same picks Zed , Alistar , Morgana , Zilean ,Yasuo , Azir , Maokai , Nasus , Hecarim , Urgot , Shaco , MonkeyKing , Ekko , Fizz ,Cassiopeia , Sona , Katarina , Kindred (just some examples). Every game had at least 4 of those champs per team unless they were banned. If you ban one they pick another one that just absolutely carries the game, and gives one team no chance of winning. Especially when they all just pick out of OP champ pool (which is smart & hella fun I'll agree). I've been on both sides of this predicament. I think each player should get one ban next time. That would be, count it 10 bans! Leaving 120 champions open. Thus you could eliminate most of the absolute game carrying threats, and still keep a massive champion pool. I just hope to see a way to make URF a little more controlled next time even if Riot doesn't want to be the ones to do the set bans, angering a lot of players because they locked Zed (example) in a vault for the URF game mode. Instead give us more bans let the players do it for you. And if they don't ban who you want to play. Play them! At that point it is on the players. I know you are going to say "well you can already ban who you don't want to play against so it already is on the players." To that I would say that is not the point of the post I fully understand that, and you need to read it again. Now before you misunderstand what I'm saying I'll state in a simple kindergarten way... Too many threats, more bans would be nice. IN URF (not RANKED/DRAFT)! (sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors. I am not an English major, nor do I want or claim to be)

GamblerOfLives4/26/2016, 4:03:30 AM1 votes

Really fun..but for the winning team:))..Idk why they didn't make surrender available at 10-15 min

ChocolateMyDrug4/25/2016, 6:48:49 PM1 votes

Was pretty fun, but I can say it was more fun last year because this year you literally saw the same champions over and over Alistar Azir Blitzcrank Ekko Evelynn Ezreal Fizz Galio Jax Karma Katarina Malzahar Leblanc Shaco Sona Zed Vladimir Some champions I was really surprised I barely saw: Amumu Annie Brand DrMundo Hecarim Nunu Shen Ryze Maokai Pantheon ,but people maybe ditched them due to others being more op...

Multiverse Abyss4/25/2016, 6:54:28 PM1 votes

I've seen a few ideas pop up in other threads, but I have to say the best one has been to make URF randomized like ARAM. Allow the bans at first, then everyone just gets a random champ that they need to work with. It stops many people from picking and playing the same champ over and over. The point of URF isn't meant to get the most OP and win all the time. It's meant to pick who you love to play and try them out. Have fun with the game, not focus on beating everyone in every way possible. I feel like that's where League is losing it's touch, it's a game to have fun, not to constantly win, rage, or be toxic. "Randomize it! Make URF great again!" -Trump 2016. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

illaoi and yasuo are horrible.

The most fun I had was duoing with a guy who played Soraka. I played Bard and built item 3091 item 3085 item 3001 item 3151 item 3135 item 3020.

We were able to destroy a turret without minions. We both healed me and just kept hitting it. And Bard is of course super fun to play.

ViashinoWizard4/25/2016, 8:46:33 PM1 votes

The problem with URF is that it's against other people.

Speaking of which: URF vs. Doombots?

DemoGuide4/25/2016, 9:37:15 PM1 votes

I enjoyed it. Played almost anything i wanted to.

So, here is small recap.

  • ADCS are bad due to itemisation. They cant get enough crit chance from AD items, and one AS item is enough to reach AS cap
  • AD TRAPS JHIN is fun.
  • Wukong, zed and fizz should be either permabanned in this mode or nerfed to hell. Thinking about Nasus too, but not sure.
  • We probably need Oracle Elixir or Pink Ward Trinket to counter Kha or Shaco (and wukong then?).
  • Teammates cant counter galio or mundo, because spending 800 gold is too much.
  • Death timers and paper turrets are even more annoying.
AkabaneKun4/25/2016, 9:58:19 PM1 votes

The most fun you can have in the mode is ap zac, the best is fiora.

Miku Lv994/26/2016, 8:36:52 AM1 votes

What have you learned from it. -I'd say I learned some good skillshot practice. That's really what it's best for learning IMO. Oh and good use of flash.

Are there any skills you acquired from it? -Isn't that kinda the same as the first question? Already answered it.

What were the most OP champs, which category champ was useless?, etc. - Most OP are ones like Shaco or Alistar that can really mess someone up with little counterplay. Most useless are balls of stats like Shyvana.

Share your thoughts. - It's pretty fun.

Princess Emma4/25/2016, 11:25:35 PM1 votes

I had fun and never ran into a single toxic player, haven't heard a single complaint, and had nobody telling you to play a meta champ.

Not on my side anyway, idk how the chat was like for opposing teams, but they haven't said anything toxic in all chat.

Sukishoo4/25/2016, 11:27:03 PM1 votes

Only thing I truly enjoy about the mode is that it gives Evelynn back some of the power she's been lacking.

Evelynn QQQQQQQQQQQQQQ forever <3

I'm neautral:

I expected URF to ba as amazing as years before. But due to tryhard Fizz players I couldn't squeeze much fun out of this :/

Also fact, that 80% of ADC weren't even slighest viable (not that I play ADC, but.. It's nice to do something different for a change)

Overall URF could do very well with nemesis or random

Hey Its Chris4/26/2016, 2:51:06 AM1 votes
