To be honest I just played a game with support but everyone is just blaming me for not buying sightstone.I did and just told them its everyones job to ward because I can't cover the whole map with just 4 wards .People blaming supports for not warding even though riot has made a think called an upgraded trinket and vision wards that only cost about 75-250 Gold.They freak out about me not having sightstone though I have bought it,and they still complain about me.I was so done at that point I just wanted to stop and explain to them its everyones job but no all say said was YuiAsuna: ITS SUPPORT'S ROLE TO BUY THE DAMNED WARD YuiAsuna: ARE YOU ******* DUMB?I'm honestly so pissed off of how they didn't listen to me about everyone buys the wards.It's season 5 for gods sake...

no sightstone until 29 minutes in. That's kind of an epic fail as a support. It should be the first item you buy, with the acceptable exception of Nomad's.

Also when you get sightstone for the love of god swap out your trinket for a sweeper and upgrade it to oracles asap.

3 regular wards + pink is somewhat sufficient in solo queue without everyone else buying wards, just ward the general area where your team/carry is. With experience you'll get it.

Though, I must agree with him, it is everyones job to ward. I don't enjoy games where I support and lay down a bunch, and there's only ever 4 wards on the map. It's mainly the supports job - but it is EVERYONES job!

It's also the jungler's job to gank but what happens when they don't.

If you're going to be a support and move up to higher elo you gotta learn how to deal with enemy jungler camping your lane while your own jungler is farming for sated.

Also sometimes other people never ward, not even use their trinket. Just be more efficient with your own warding.

It really, really pisses me off when a support says on these forums "I still laid more wards than everyone else."

Not the fucking point, at all.

sorry I'm a bit of a purist since I'm a support main who takes the role seriously and it bothers me greatly when people do it badly then complain on the forums about teammates.

Fair enough haha. I also main support, and I stand by the fact that everyone should ward :P I lay down as many as I can, trying to keep them in key spots, but it's nice to have the added vision of 7 or 8 wards over 4.

you went Cho support... then for some weird reason decided that the best item to rush was item 3010 ? and never upgrade it? why would you even botrher rushing but not upgrading it? that right there is a huge waste of gold and then you bought a item 2045 almost at the 30 min mark... why? why would you even bother building that late in the game when you still have a ? You also had 13 wards placed while having a item 3340 ... what were you spending you gold into? your build path was just horrendous in that game.

Now horrible item builds aside, while it's everyone's job to ward that doesn't excuse you for not getting a item 2049 early on in the game. Not only would that help you against ganks but also give you an early boost in health that is always helpful. The item is so much cost efficient in supports since not only it free's up their trinket slot to get item 3341 it also saves them money on getting wards every single time they go back.

Everyone should buy wards and help warding but don't use that as an excuse to not build item 2049 ... hell your ADC had the same amount of wards placed than you! that should never be a thing!

Honestly this was a long time ago when I was still shit at this game lol.....I learned from past games and it's really funny how I made a post of this.Though I still hate it when they just blame you for not warding when like I said u can't just ward everything.Now I just ward the whole red or blue side of the enemy jg later on in the game and ward the river and tri-bush just to make sure we don't get ganked.Don't worry I've progressed a lot.

My checklist for supports is basically support item+sightstone as being first things, and after that it's pretty flexible based on the particular game and your read on the relative skills of people, although it's hard to go wrong with locket.

I will say I don't care for maxing shrines on bard. Various playstyles to him, but the healing isn't very much and doesn't get that much better with levels, and I find it's more useful as a speed boost (which is constant from rank 1). I prefer q then e then w for maxing myself, as he's harass-tastic and stuns are great for getting your adc fed, and magical journey is good for roaming about, escapes, and for setting up sweet ganks.

who cares if its everyones job? Support needs to pump those damn wards out. So what if the adc didn't ward what's that got to do with you not warding?

As a support main, I can only do so much with wards. Having said that, it is my job to ward specific areas, or ward vital stuff like OBJ or deep wards, or line jungle for my split pusher so they don't get ganked. I played a non support game for the first time in a while today, and my Support was completely lost and the jungle was dark almost the entire game. Very aggravating, I'd honestly rather play support like a boss and lose than play something carry oriented and win off that.
