Disable Free to Play Weekly Champions from ARAM

So i play a lot of ARAMs, they're short and i don't feel much pressure to win or lose.

Now ever since they added ARAM, i hoped that Riot would add a way to disable Free to Play Weekly Champs.

The main problem is i don't have all the champs because i don't care about all the champs. I'm only interested in playing with the ones i own (49 champs in all). Being forced to play with other champs i don't own and don't know how to play isn't fun.

Riots way of fixing this was by player Champion trading and adding the reroll feature, but more often than not i'm stuck on a champ i don't own and that nobody wants to trade with. As a matter of fact, my last 2 games before i wrote this were ARAMs and in both cases i used up my rerolls only to get another Free to Play Champ That nobody wanted to trade with. Fun right?!

I suggest adding a simple Check Box that lets you disable or enable Free to play Weekly Champs from your Champion Selection and from ARAM Random Pick as well. Something similar to the (Hide Preset Pages) Button on the Runes Page.

I believe the more control you give players over what they have, the better their experience with your product and game. summoner 31

Its not really random if you select what champs you want to play

The purpose of ARAM is to play All Random All Mid. ARAM is also meant to be a learning grounds, you play champs that you don't own and aren't even in free rotation. Before I had illaoi and when she wasn't in free rotation I still had the chance to play her in ARAM.

You can't get champs you don't own or aren't in the free rotation on ARAM

This is False, The Random Champion you get is based off the Player's Owned Champion Pool and The Free To Play Weekly Champions Available(Even if you don't own them).

Yes....Yes you can. like I clearly stated in my comment, didn't have illaoi and wasn't in free rotation and still played her. Same thing with several other champions. I've played urgot while he wasn't in free rotation, same with rengar, etc.

Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I see what you're saying, which is why i said "have the option to disable". this way if you want FTP Weekly Champs in your champ pool you can, and for those of us that don't want to play champs we don't like and haven't bought because they don't interest us then give us the option to disable.

All Random All Mid means, you play a random Champion from the pool of champions you already have.

My point being, the FTP weekly champions are added into that pool of champions.

I'm simply saying that adding a Disable FTP Weekly Champs Feature would make the overall experience better.

I disagree. If I simply wanted to play a random champ out of a curated list, I'd just random in a regular game mode. ARAM's appeal (at least personally) is that everyone is random and no one knows what to expect. To that end, enabling all champs (or something similar) would be preferable, as it'd significantly expand champ variation within the game mode.

In essence, for me, giving players more control would make the overall experience worse.
