Even Pro Players don't know everything
Hai think cinderhulk stack with sunfire cape LOL

more like they don't know anything.
People really need to understand that in terms of intelligence or understanding of the game these LCS players are no different than anyone else. They are just random nerds that have a playstyle that is really successful in competitive and/or just grinded enough games to get good.
There is is very little objective or critical thought in any aspect of the league community. The only thing these kids do is circlejerk the meta until some objective thinker from korea or solo-q comes up with the next best thing to copy.
Not true. Would you say the same about professional chess players?

No i wouldn't. Because chess is different, primarily because its a 1 vs 1 game.
I don't think a game being 1v1 or 5v5 changes much about strategy, makes it even more dynamic and fluid.
If that's your only reason for not being able to compare the two, it's not a very solid foundation.

And thats your opinion.
Lets keep it real here. It is very very difficult to detect the skill that a player like dyrus has over a top laner in low diamond for example. Sure dyrus will be more consistent but thats about it. The game is simply not very high skill cap. I can watch a pro basketball player vs an amature and detect the difference in skill instantly, that is simply not the case with lol.
These LCS players only have to know a very narrow binary role such as "top lane", to be successful in competitive. Detailed knowledge of the game and creative thinking is simply not required to be successful
In solo queue, perhaps, but in LCS they do need to use teamwork and out-maneuver the enemy team. It's a bit more than binary roles at work (although I'd say Dyrus is the worst example, since he's usually left alone... well, we all know the camp top lane jokes).
They're pros for a reason. Not everyone can be a pro, and there's a lot that goes into the game (building, roles, teamwork, champion interactions, objectives, laning, cs, teamfighting, etc). Several variables, probably more than there are in chess.

No because chess actually requires intelligent though and strategy
1 v 1 with blind picks, this game becomes fair, 1 v 1 with banned picks, suddenly whoever goes second wins if they know the counter champ better
another difference between chess and league. in chess, you can always tell when you are going to lose based upon the pieces remaining unless your opponent gets bored enough to make a mistake
in league, you get everything back except for towers, dragons and baron
edit: actually, I take back the first part because then it becomes up to chance
There is a reason Hai isn't on the tour anymore.
he's retired
it's true that it doesn't stack...maybe they just forgot about
because sunfire is more common
