From Silver 4 to Bronze 1 after 8 wins - 2 losses. Why?

I know that nobody cares about other people problems but i tried so hard , starting with last season to get out of bronze ,and now on the new season promos or whatever they are called, to get this result. I wasn't expecting gold but Silver 5 was like the lower I imagined this could get be, but Bronze 1 has me like WTF Riot , explain to me the trash of system that you guys are using to place players. Just to add since patch 5~ i have been getting disconnected from champions select a lot , or is this only me?

Second time i post this riot is deleting post like this , and literally telling people to shut up about it.

Considering the months it took to climb the first time... I doubt it. It's probably okay if you play videogames all day, but it's ridiculous if you have a job. that, and 3 out of 4 promos will result in getting a 5 game streak with at least one player on my team afk the whole game.

Most of you guys crying over this were just in silver to begin with and low silver on top of that for example if you were s5 and went 7-3 in promos wtf do you expect to get diamond 1 off that your gonna get lower then what you were no matter what and on top of that if you cant climb out of bronze now what would of kept you in silver if you didnt get reset chances are you woulda dropped and only stayed in silver cause of the huge amount of losses in a row to drop im gonna have to go with riot on this one for deleting SPAM from the boards not bugs/glitches they caused

"that if you cant climb out of bronze now what would of kept you in silver if you didnt get reset" If you win half your games, you will never climb, and yet you would have maintained. And if anytime you start winning more than half the system gives you a streak of afks on your team to slap you back down, you will never exceed half.

High golds - Low plats are the most toxic players in the game. They believe they are good, and end up making risky plays, which is why some people call it Plat hell - you're good, but your decision making sometimes sucks and they get frustrated that they can't get to diamond - hence, the toxicity.

For me I went from silver 3 to bronze 2 after 7 wins and 3 losses. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am now stuck in this bronze hell. After playing 10 long matches I now have to climb my way back to silver. I think I'm completely finished with playing League of Legends and done with the lack of response from Riot.

I've been having the same issue, I'm sure the community will die off if they don't fix this crap. Them deleting these posts only further proves that they couldn't care less about the players and just want to pamper to their star players in the upper ranks and shitting on the lower rank nobodies. We're just the cash cows that pour our efforts and money into a thankless game. We put on our tryhard caps only to be degraded by not only the trolls but riot itself. Its a shameful way to run a business and quite frankly I'm beginning to get tired of it.

What really pisses my off , if that i saw new season placement as a way to climb fast on the new season , i know that sometimes bad luck may fk you up but this ain't the right solution Riot , now i see this like a way of Riot to say we don't give a s* about our loyal players lets fk them up ,like , what is the gain on doing good on the new season placements? I just see losses for everybody ,people were exited of placement because it could help you out and even of you did really bad you wouldn't get as bad result as this.

Ps. For the people calling me or other player with the same issues salty and stuff like that , just think for a moment about the feelings when you got out of bronze for the first time , now imagine you were send back in for no reason . Just get in our shoes for 1 second then tell me that we are mad for no reason. Thanks everybody please don't stop complaining they can fix this but if we don't step up they won't. **

Was Gold 3. After placements by going 5-5, I got Silver 4.

Like I wouldnt mind if I got silver 1, but Silver 4? And seeing that Im not the only one in this thread and in game since I see quite a bit of gold boarders in my games.

Literally everybody across all elos are complaining about this. Golds, Plats, and even Diamond players hates this.

Win a game. You'll get about 30 LP.

Just because we (me as well) were placed in bronze doesn't mean the MMR completely reset. If you ended the season with a balanced win/loss ratio, getting back won't be hard.

That's my mentality, anyway. I did it once, I can do it again.

I heard a rumor that the KDA also affects your placement. Hypothesis: If you get carried 10 games in a row, but go 0/10/20, then you shall get Bronze 1

I was honestly a bit annoyed after going 5/5 in my matches and got Bronze III from Silver V, but then I noticed my LP gain per win compared to loss and now i'm quite fine with it. I get around 25/29 per win and 10-13 per loss so far. Should be back in silver in a week tops(if i'm not lazy from my bot lane complaining 24/7) but overall the system is unfair, but we're in bronze/silver nobody listens to us >.>

Silver 4 to bronze 1? sounds like OP made it out alright compared to the other placement QQ stories I have been reading...I fully expect to place in a lower division than the previous season...But I'm certain MMR has something to do with it and not your division... http://na.op.gg/ check your mmr before the reset and after...the soft reset was on the divisions on not the actual players... I was roughly 1500 MMR Gold5 last season and expect to place in mid silver this season because thats the new 1500 MMR division...Thats my reasoning anyways...I could be wrong...

This is a bit crazy. I would even almost be okay with Bronze I, but I proved myself tenfold that I belonged in Silver and yet this happens. I am incredibly frustrated. "Soft reset" or not, this is way too far, and I believe it is a real confidence killer when you do so well in placements and this happens.

I haven't played LoL in NA server since they restarted the rankings system. I currently play in Garena Server (Vietnam). Just finished 10 provisional games with 8 won in a row (from the third one to the last one) and I was place in Silver IV. Even though it was a new account (no ranking game before). I reported the issue to Garena but they said they could do nothing. Frankly speaking, Lol ranking system is a piece of trash. Last time, I played in NA server on another account (not this one) and finished my first ten games with 5 won, I was placed in Silver III. Riot should introduce and apply a more efficient system. They are losing their loyal customers, I am pretty sure.

I ended last season at Silver 3 having spent 90% of it slogging my way up from B5. It was a miserable experience filled with trolls, ragers, afkers, and players that did not comprehend the game. I win 7 out 10 placement games with the 3 losses being 2 4v5's and 1 3v5's. I end up placed into B3. I cannot bear to put myself through the miserable experience of bronze again. I play videos to enjoy them; I don't what to have to be miserable trying to drag myself out of bronze again. I am either going to switch servers or drop the game completely. It is not worth the pain. Riot really messed the stuff up this season they no longer care about the regular player and just want the news about the top players fighting their way back to challenger.

I've been playing this game for at least 8 years and each time the system of ranking is worse each season .. wtf riot guys ... I got bronze .. not really important to me, the important to me of this game is have fun .. . I having won over 1300 games in normals in 2015 season more than 560 wins in RANKED why do I have to play with players who barely know the basics of the game ... games that last only 20 minutes because one, two or three players feed and becomes a snowball ... THIS IS NOT FUN ANYMORE ... please I believe there are many other parameters to determine the level of each player, normals wins, ELO, past seasons, etc. ... I know this is a team game and we all have bad games .. but do not ruin the game just putting a simple formula to determine whos going to be your teammates in the game.
