What are the future plans for Malzahar?

I personally feel Malzahar is perfect right now for mid lanes, which I'm pretty sure was the intended role. I been a Malzahar fan and I feel this patch update was amazing. Now, I can finally be useful on team fights rather than staying 2 miles away and hitting few spells. I don't care at all for Jungle/AD Malz.

However, now I face the problem where people are banning him non-stop on ranked. People are saying he is too OP now, so I have a really bad feeling Riot is gonna nerf him. I truly hope somehow they can nerf him in JG (Which I think most of the complaints are coming from) but keep his power as it is right now for mid lanes.

Either way, I don't want to get good at malz if he's gonna be nerfed heavily where you'll need to perfect your positions to be good at him. So, I would like to know future plans.
