I'm fine with stopwatch being in the game, however it should not be a free item that anyone can just have. Stopwatch should only be obtained by purchasing it from the shop in game. It should be an item the laner has to be set back in gold to have. The item should cost the laner at least 900 gold if they want a "free life"
Stopwatch should be removed from inspiration tree and be a purchase only item.

I completely agree. I've lost 4 ranked games in a row now because the enemy laner took a mastery that let them evade death for free, and in a close situation would allow them to win the fight and put them ahead. I feel like if you're taking a mastery like that you should have a big trade-off in damage or something.
No, it should be a rune. Youre giving up all passive benefit for a single use active item and an item most champs dont rush, so even though it saves you, what, 600g? You arent capable of using that gold until mid-late game.
