Im not sure how feel about the match making

I don't claim to be an expert or anything the match making feels just so off this season. Ive played a lot of Support and ill be bold enough say that's a role i play reliably well now for the most part but the players i play don't seem to be up to par. That statement may seem condescending but i just out of a game with poppy support with 11 games played and 6 total hours of League of legends played

I don't feel like i can get better or enjoy myself right now these recent random unbalanced matches just leave me feeling like the matched was pointless with the odds against them. i cant enjoy a win if i utterly stomp for no reason other than i got matched with newer players and i don't learn anything from those matches . I dont go on losing streak before being put in these matches i was against fairly experienced players for the last few games Generally getting an s- or above on my namesake character keeping a decent winrate without a loss i went from level 100 plus players to brand new players in an instant and its to random when happens i could win 7 games against similar skill levels before i get put into these types of matches

I have the same problem, just that I am on the other side. I am a fairly new player. I am still trying out characters and wouldn't say I am experienced with any of them. But kinda often, I get matched with and against people who are level 100+ and played ranked and all... It kinda sucks for all involved :/

If this happens you should take it as an extreme compliment! It means you're already playing well enough that you stand a good chance against these players if you use your head, be confident and make the play.

Conversely, if you get in a game which is kind of a stomp, test some of your less confident skills. Do you know how to towerdive? Well go for it, and see what happens. You might surprise yourself just how aggressive you can be.

Thanks a lot for your kind words! It actually makes me feel better about the situation :) I am trying out new things whenever I can, because i want to figure out what works best for me.

they changed match making (then reverted) then changed it again this patch for normals, i've been kinda wondering if they might have just reset MMR as a whole for the mode. i've been in matches where bronze are against golds in lane, and they very VERY clearly do not play at a gold level and get stomped in lane. they plan on using this system in ranked next season, i'm not sure how i feel about it after the latest patches. i've been on both sides as well. stomped as well as been stomped.
