wall isn't hard to use
positioning isn't a unique skill requirement to her, mana is a problem for most mages early game, farming becomes easy as pressing R at level 6. granted, her AA blows ass, but so does
and nobody's saying he's a difficult champion to play. If anything, that's the only hard part about them.
it's hard to use well. if you don't know how to use it to combo or split a teamfight then you're not a good anivia. it's super easy to misplace and fuck up your own team or just waste a cooldown
you're right, positioning is not unique to her, but it is much harder on her because she has low mobility and no escapes, and she also needs to be in the right angle for a good wall. she has very low base health (worst at level one, second worst at level 18), and while yes she has the egg it is not a good tradeoff in some stages of the game, in early game it is super weak and in late game everyone has the damage to shred it.
mana problems are also not unique to her, but she has it far worse than most mages, and for this reason you cannot just press r at level 6 to farm because you will run out of mana in 2 waves. her ult only becomes a consistent farming tool when you get your mana items, and if you only get one it remains difficult to manage throughout the entire game
swain is considered easier because he does not have quite as many problems as anivia. he has mana regen built into his passive and his root is his only ability you have to aim. you have to manage mana for his ult but it is easier than managing mana for anivia
