Losing LP Due To DC's

I think that Riot should enable a curve to where if a player dc's during the game after the three minute mark(but not within the last 5-10 minutes), that there should be less of an LP loss. I just had an experience where two players on my team dc'd around the 8 minute mark, and I lost a full 19 LP. I believe that this system would make the game more enjoyable and fair to those who are trying to climb the rank ladder. Thank you.
