Matchmaking

I would really like to know how Riot decided to make the matchmaking system. Just because your secondary is open doesn't mean I want to play it. I'm honestly done with having people take my lane and feeding. The point of this game is to have fun right? I'm not having fun playing a role I don't enjoy.
