Death of LoL Ranked Queues?

What the hell is wrong with the queues for ranked, especially premade 5's? The wait time is so damn long it takes the fun out of League because I play ranked most of the time. Wait times have been ranging from 30 minutes at least, up to over an hour! Why is this? Is anybody else angry about this? This is so frustrating, and I've waited long enough for improvement in these wait times.
