I'm from Mauritius and I play league of legends on EUW server on 250-280 ping. I'm here to request an S Africa Server because of high ping. Please Riot we loved that game but high ping is a big issue for Mauritius, reunion island, and Africa. High Ping Affects a lot our gameplay so it would be nice to have a South African server for our region

The question is: Would it be worth it for riot? Because it's not that easy to just make a new server

too much instability to be putting that server in SA, and no one will want to hear about it or talk about it so what's even the point? fix eskom, at least put a cap on the general corruption, and forward some actual solutions for crime that get's criminals to stop committing crimes to get the things they need. failing all that the risk for rito to put a server down in SA is like...yeah why would you even? they buy a fuckhuge generator to ignore eskom and it's woes, and then some thief comes along to steal either the gen itself or the super high quality electrical cables around the building. rito hire security, the security get's compromised. perhaps skills are lacking for maintenance and sundry that would comply with SA's hiring standards. it's all a big mess, and no one wants to address the thing as it is, and you get labelled for doing so anyway so no point doing that anymore with people who haven't ears for the truth. there is no SA server, accept it. but hey maybe the google cable will make things better.

edit: to expand a bit here. north africa has access to the european and eurasian servers so they likely aren't gonna get one ever...will just have to wait for the internet tech to become seamless. there are no viable options in central africa, and in southern africa SA is the best candidate but SA has major failings that threaten to unravel the nation if unchecked, which means one doesn't even want to look at the other options even though something like botswana or mazambique might be clever locales for the server all things considered, but these are nations who produce even less of their own power than SA does so the logic would be that in time they would encounter the same growing pains that SA is encountering even if they were to suddenly start producing most of their own power. also again, skill gaps in the market are a major factor, people might not like to consider that but just by the by i'm much more likely to find an asian or white person in a programming class than a black person. now sure that will change with the generations no doubt but as things stand it is a problem that any actual CEO would be considering before throwing money at the thing, just to be undone by bureaucracy even if it risks dismantling the entire project.
