Ranked promos and rage quitters

This game has been out for years, yet for what ever reason losses during promotion games due to rage quitters are still a thing. As you can tell im having a pretty bad ranking day. I had two back to back games during promos where someone rage quits within the first 15 mins of the game. I don't usually talk or rant about things like this, but this is complete bullshit. Has there been any rationale as to why this has been, and still is a thing?

I know im probably wasting my time writing this, but i just need to vent my frustration...
