@riot - A need to review the definition of Harrasment

Ok, so many players may disagree with me here, but I as a youth and childrens advocate (In real life) the strong truth is bullying is becoming too much of a reason for suicides of teenagers and young adults. An average review of the player base of LOL is between 14 and 30 (and I know of a few older).

It shocks me to see the amount of what in my job we define as bullying happening in game. Constructive criticism is washed out to sea when you get players who first words of "help" start with ********* (Insert your word in the stars). From that point its nothing but bashing the said player (and I will admit that I have been the victim of in the last 2 days). By the end of the game it comes down to these lines -

"I hope you die" "uninstall you are horrible" "just afk you are worthless" etc.

Where I know the player base may feel this is too harsh, I would love to see Riot take a stand against bullying as a PSA and to help the game play of LOL.

If any of these phrases end up in the chat logs of a reported player - then there should be an Automatic ban with no appeal given.

While I believe in my profession that kids need to do more than play video games, the attitude they get online and in games such as LOL and others (try playing on xbox live) is reflecting in real life and kids they go to school with or interact with are becoming the victims.

Someone saying they hope a person dies more than likely dont understand what they mean. True - BUT the fact its said begins to eat away at the self esteem of the victim and I believe Riot nor any other sensible person would even want to support that. I personally do not want to know a person I played a game with and watched a teammate or opponent tell them "I hope you die" committed suicide.

Ok, so I ramble, but Riot would you consider a strong stance on this bullying and help clean up our online attitudes in game?

PS if you end up in my game you better put your helpful player game face on because I will here out report any player bashing. AND if I bash you, please report me. Its only fair and right.

I think it will be really hard to tell the difference between if someone is "joking" or if someone is being honestly 'serious.' I have a friend who says "kill yourself" all the time to his friends, and although I know he is joking it is, indeed, still harsh. Would I want him banned for saying that to his friends? Nah. If he says it to other players, then yeah. I am sure there is a fine line somewhere there...

Well, you see.... My opinion on this is kind of mixed. If someone is suicidal and all it takes is a "just kill yourself" to push them over the edge, then maybe they weren't thinking too clearly there on protecting themselves. Riot can't go around saving people's lives or anything, people who are that sensitive need to take care of themselves to some regard. I am not justifying people who say horrible things, and I don't think it's okay, but there is going to be bullying everywhere. I am not saying the kid/adult/whatever should lock themselves in a room without contact of any kind, I am saying they take a risk when they participate in online communities.

I dunno, this stuff is everywhere and I am not really sure Riot, or ANY company/person has the power to eliminate it all, ya know?
