absurd que waits for leaving

20 minute waits for game leaving?? really? i literally can not fix the issue that is my poor ISP. if i get booted over 20 mins into a game, why do i face the same extreme consequences of people who rage quit games? also, at this rate, instead of having to commit a full our to this game, i must commit an additional 20 minutes, almost doubling my realistic play time. currently the only solution is to have a small army of accounts to switch to. which is sad because i have all my skins and champions on one account. this is an issue and it needs to be fixed. more casual players will be much more likely to quit if after a few disconnects because of poor service, they can not play within a reasonable time frame. Im sorry i do not have a fiber optic connection available in my area. clearly my fault. also a seven person household probably helps.

should this be changed? or is this not a problem?

Reasonable. Definitely.

And here's why.

Leaverbuster catches you after several games left. Not just one. Furthermore, the leaverbuster penalty is a measly five minutes over a measly five games. Even if this penalty hits you, it's not that much of a penalty. It's enough to give you a sense of "hey, don't leave anymore or I'll have to penalize you."

If you continue DC'ing in games, the penalty increases to ten minutes. Note, this isn't immediate, and it isn't the first, or second game you leave while you're penalized with a 5 minute queue wait period. It's still a significant amount of games.

And then again, if you continue to disconnect while in a ten minute queue restriction, it bumps to twenty minutes.

This is not "a few disconnects." This is consistent disconnects. And as harsh as it sounds, quite frankly, by keeping you out of games if you disconnect so often due to a bad ISP, it's doing it's job very well, because that means less suffering for 9 other people who have to deal with the frustration of the constant "A Summoner has Disconnected. A Summoner has Reconnected. A Summoner has Disconnected. A Summoner has Reconnected."

LeaverBuster isn't designed to catch just ragequitters. It's designed to keep people out of games if they cannot commit to a full, uninterupted game of play in an entirely teamwork based game. I understand it may not be your fault due to a bad ISP, and I can empathize, having had bad connection in the past before changing providers, but I know I personally have no interest in having somebody in MY game that constantly DC's, regardless of how much it is or is not their fault.

Consider the old leaverbuster. By now you would be permabanned.
