How to balance Ornn with 1 Change

Since Ornn is op, wouldn't it be a good idea to balance him by simply giving both teams the option to buy his upgraded items?

That's not the part of his kit people view as too strong. His CC immunity on his W isn't either, but since Riot's changing that too who knows.

People don't like his damage, and so unless everything but his damage is nerfed to the point where he simply isn't useful it will be a damage change that actually changes the board's opinions on him.

Of course I agree with you, but I just thought it might be a cool thing to have in the game, Ornn appears, so do the super items plus the idea of it offering some balance issues when the big guy knows what hes doing would be helped a bit .

Any of these would be imo decent nerfs that would help fix the problem of his powerful laning.

Lowering the duration of brittle. Currently it is 6 seconds. It does not need to be this long.
Remove his shield from W or move it to his E. His primary offensive and defensive abilities are on the same key. This shouldn't be a thing. Even if you dodge the w you still can't really trade with him because his shield can take the 1-2 aa you can deliver in that time.
Revert the W back to %Current health damage instead of %max hp damage.
