Ezreal Math, Why Blue Build Ezreal is not the best build,

Ezreal Math

Hello, If you are here you may be wondering, why do I say blue Ezreal is not the best build, if you take a look at the Spreadsheet I linked to you will see that the Blue Ez build only leads in one place, and only does so once it gets Manamuneitem 3004 stacked fully into Muramanaitem 3042 , and that is in Auto attacking, after passive is stacked and that is just barely, (Using the average between maximum and minimum bonus damage from Muramana) A full Attack Damage Ezreal has 40% critical chance which means 40% of the time he will be doing comparable damage to a blue ezreal with full mana

For pure consistant damage, an AP mana build actually tops for ability damage, with it's q doing around a thousand before resistances, and if you're wondering why I say blue Ezreal is worst, It lacks consistent damage for most of the game, A full ad Ezreal has higher attack speed and Critical chance with Critical's restoring mana, AP Ezreal has more consistent damage from abilities, and if you're worried about slowing people down, a Q from ad Ezreal will knock out usually half an opponent's HP unless it's a tank, but you have Q up every 2 seconds if you are hitting them, and if you can't hit skill shots you shouldn't be playing ezreal in the first place as he is a hybrid caster/marksmen.

Thanks for Reading, feel free to argue with me below, or Suggest a Different Champion for me to do the math on. ~Lunermist, A Math Magician

The reason people run Manamune Gauntlet is because with boots you're running a total tab of 6000 gold for your big powerspike. It means you hit mid-game faster and have more snowball opportunities or abuse cases 15 minutes into the game.

You don't pick Ezreal for his late-game damage because it's always been low. You pick him because he can pick up kills mid-game due to his high burst and constant poke.

For your other builds, AD Ezreal w/ Tri Essence IE doesn't have good synergy between the items because Ezreal's Q can't crit and all three items are really expensive.

Don't build AP seriously. This is coming from someone who thoroughly enjoys AP Ezreal. Also the real AP build is Gunblade -> Lich Bane.

The remainder of these builds require too long to ramp up and be relevant, especially from a champion who has a 15 minute window to get shit done.

Mystic Shot cannot crit

This calculation while it looks correct doesn’t take into account the sustainability of the blue build and the power spike of the items when you take gold into the equation

Wow. Those numbers don't lie.

hence why lethal tempoe is better then press the attack

The thing is that games rarly go to 6 items. Blue ez has pretty cheap powerspikes, he has early acces to alot mana and cdr for spaming, and he's decently tanky vs ohysical damage with the extra slow utillity. U sacrifice damage potential for survivabillity, utillity and sustain aswell as earlyier spikes.

As for the AP-mana built, it just needs way to long to ramp up, especially on a champ with no waveclear, and i doubt that it really does more than a normal ap built given that it hasn't any pen in it.

I mean, from a damage perspective sure. However, blue build offers a lot in the way of resistance, via Iceborn and Mercurial. With these two items, your chances of getting one shot decreases dramatically. This isn't even considering the utility it offers. Slow from Iceborn, Slow + MS from BORK, and cleanse from Mercurial. It really is situational, to say that any build is better than another build in general is very rarely correct. Ezreal needs to be able to stay alive in a fight in order to get his damage off, and blue build let's him do that.

Before you say the point is to "show the math", that means nothing. Being able to interpret the numbers and prove an assertion is the entire point. You've completely failed to take into account anything other than raw damage, and for that reason I'm going to have to disagree.
