Well, GG riot, your 4.20 patch took one of my favorite tops in Garen and made him completely worthless. Whereas before, we had a top laner who was very strong in early game and could push the lane easily but scaled very poorly, we now have a champ with no lane presence whatsoever, and still nothing to offer late game. I'm now outtraded by everyone i lane against, including... dadum... Shaco. 0 damage and squishy too. Nice
what are you talking about? nothing about garen changed dramatically this patch. if anything it should have been an improvement for him as it's less likely the enemy jungler can interfere with his lane dominance and there were a lot of neat new tank/support items that can give him more impact when his damage is falling off (righteous glory for initiation power, ohmwrecker if he gets ahead to just make his lane opponent hate life). not to mention the recent doran's shield buff that should make garen MUCH stronger against ranged laners.
although from what i hear from a lot of garen players, your damage should still be helpful in the late game if you bother to build 2 or 3 big damage items.
If you have not only no lane presence early on, but also nothing to offer late game you are playing Garen wrong. I don't mean it as an insult, but I've had a very, very different experience that involves Garen snowballing into an unstoppable tower tanking beast.
Garen just got buffed like... INTO Viability a week ago. What are you complaining about now?
