New players to Ranked are ruining the integrity of Ranked

NOT saying they are ruining the game, but their lack of knowledge ruin the competitive aspect of the Ranked queue. It's not their fault either, I 100% blame the system Riot has in place. A base line of silver elo makes no sense for fresh accounts imo. I have reached gold in my past 3 seasons and it came with a lot of hard work and a lot of game time. That being said I was never ready for silver elo when I first reached 30. One way to fix the issue is to set baseline mmr lower for accounts that have not played ranked yet. This will help in balancing teams in the earlier stages of the season and will help reduce the exposure to toxic behavior for the newer players.

they aren't ruining the integrity, your rank is just shit.

You cannot assign color values to ranks and expect things to stay as they are. The teir system is what has failed not the ranked system which may have also failed but technically hasn't been proven to be a failure

setting the baseline mmr at the average skill level makes a lot of sense. There are a lot of fresh level 30 players that are s5-s4 or better, just as much as there are fresh 30 players that are below s5-s4. something people don't seem to realize is changing the baseline mmr would effect everyone. At the beginning of new seasons, your mmr gets averaged between your current mmr, and the average of 1200 (the mmr new players are set at by default) If they were to lower that, you would start new seasons even lower than you already do.

I am not saying baseline mmr changes for everyone just BRAND NEW ACCOUNTS. So the regular 1200 mmr baseline will still effect prior ranked accounts. What I'm saying would ONLY effect fresh accounts. New players need to prove themselves, riot could even implement a system that gradually increases the baseline mmr from b5 to g5 if they can make it there. After each win during placements their baseline would raise one division. This would allow new players that can hang with the best of them to be place in gold 5 in they won every game. That's on par with ending the season in high plat. However, if they do not know what they are doing the could very easily end in b5. I feel like this is fair because low elo would have less issues with smurfers ruining their games and Mid elo doesn't need to worry about a new player causing a massive unbalance in teams.

That's already how it works. lose all 10 and you'll end up in b4-b5. win 10, you'll end up around g5.

no like you play in that division or mmr so like you start in b5 and as you win you play vs high rated players.
